Went to a kfc/a&w. Mother fuckers dont even give butter and honey with biscuits. Had to go back and ask for it and they were out of butter. Also barely had any of the hot honey sauce which wasn't hot at all

My sister started playing FFXIV with her husband. So I spent money and transferred to their server, spent a shit ton of my own gil on buying them house and furnishing it and all that.

I let them know where I am at in the main story quest and tell them that I'm just gonna craft stuff and sell it to make money while I wait for them to catch up, and to let me know when they hit the main story quest that I'm on (leviathan @ level 52) and then I'll join them for the remainder of the quest line.

I log on today to collect my gil from the auction house, my sister is 60 and they're on the level 57 MSQ. Thanks assholes. I guess I'll continue playing this game alone like I was on my previous server.

I sure hope you didn't waste your own e-dinero on a medium or large house. Trust no one.

No, just a small house. I did use my own gil to buy and furnish it. But I am back up over 2 million again after selling shit so I am not hurting for cash. Was just frustrating. The entire reason I spent real money to transfer here was to play with them. The entire reason I didn't proceed in the main story quest was because I was waiting for them to catch up. Just annoyed they couldn't have the consideration to say "hey we're at leviathan now, you wanna join?"

All well, what are you gonna do? This is why I play mostly single player games lmao.

At work yesterday we put two small packages and three envelopes of mail in the box for outgoing mail. Mail person didn't come until after hours. They delivered our mail into a stuffed mail box but did not pick up our mail to be sent out.

Really wish Samsung would put all their terms up front so I don't waste time. Astylla's IPhone 6s Plus battery is failing, so we decided to pull the trigger on new phones. Samsung was doing a massive price cut for AT&T Next installments, dropping the phones down to about 625, and with the trade in of our IPhone 6S Plus would bring the phone down to 489.99. Set up both our orders, which was already annoying that I had no choice but to do it as two separate orders, and today I get an e-mail saying my phone (the second order) is on hold until Astylla's phone is activated and they receive and confirm her trade in, basically creating a 3-4 week delay on my phone, so just went and cancelled my phone and only ordering hers.

Part of that is probably AT&T. On top of getting worse over the years it's just so much simpler (and usually cheaper in the end) to buy unlocked and then get a carrier/plan for it

I'm not intelligent when it comes to smart phones so what is the reason for the average phone user to be getting a new phone every other year if the current phone works fine? I mean, you already own Samsung Galaxy X, why do you really need to get Y?

Generally every two years is a good practice for android phones because most manufacturer's tend to stop updates at that point (sometimes they continue with security updates only).

Naww, not really a good reason to upgrade your phone until the 5 year mark unless you just like having the newest ones. 99% of the important software works on a 5 year cycle (Meaning apps support for older OS version, etc). Only other reason for 5 years is for hardware support for other devices, considering phones are becoming what controls most of what we do (House/Lights/TV/Car/etc).

New aps and OS often might not need newer phone but will use more resources either draining your battery faster or slowing your phone down or some combination of both. Also alot of people are pretty terrible with how they treat and charge their phones and want to keep up with the newest. I'm usually every 3-5 years myself though.

If phones still allowed you to change your own batteries without sending it into a shop, I would still be on my Nexus 6. 3 years out of that one before the phone could only stay on with an umbilical cord to a power pack.

This is where I am stupid with phones. I have something like 7 apps on it, maybe 10. I use around 300 minutes, 75-150 text, and maybe 350mb data per month (almost all email). What updates am I missing out on for using a phone that's 4 years old? Like, how is that going to impact my experience using my phone.

Wait, new phones don't let people change their own battery?! Wow TIL. Seriously, I'm the lowest of intelligence when it comes to phones.

I am still rocking the iphone 6. It is slow as balls sometimes but I refuse to upgrade until the phone dies. I got the battery replaced when apple ran that special so they replaced it for only $20 or $30 I forget the exact cost but it was reasonable.

I wouldn't say they don't allow, it's more like how they design them makes it an insufferable hassle to do so. Like, you basically need special screwdrivers, hope you don't break shit when you open it up, and of course hope you put everything back together properly.

Anyway, from the phone gamer perspective, internal storage and device RAM are what I'd call the big factors for warranting an upgrade. 2gb RAM models are steadily becoming insufficient to run more complex games (since you can figure 500mb or so is being sucked up your OS), while it's also not uncommon for said games to start taking 3gb or more of storage. Anything that isn't 3gb RAM and 32gb storage, minimum, would get a pass from me if upgrading, but I can also understand this shit is expensive if not leasing through a phone plan. The ability to tether other devices is also something I'd say is a must have.

For those who pretty much only use their phones for calls, text, the occasional web browsing, and maybe social media, you're generally not going to need a cutting edge device.

I’m using an iPhone 6S, now in my third year of owning it. I don’t want to upgrade but it’s almost always completely full on storage from iOS updates alone. And the battery drains like a sumbitch if I don’t keep it on low power mode, which it never used to do until I got updated iOS.

tbh Apple feels pretty shady when it comes to planned obsolescence, as further demonstrated by the battery throttling they tried to pull on older devices a bit back.
