Hung out with best friends (live in the same building) last night. Plans to go to watch soccer this morning, game starts at 730.

Texted me at 6:35 to confirm.

Radio silence since.

If I hadn't slammed coffee when waking up after getting their text I'd be less mad but I'm wide awake now

This is one of my biggest pet peeves , don’t fucking make plans and commit to shit with others if you can’t do it. I mean yeah something may have come up but have the decency to take two seconds to text back especially after confirming so soon to the event.

My fail is I was watching Netflix at my post at work and had the door closed since it’s cold. Suddenly the door swings open with my dayshift sergeant walking in and I nearly fell backwards in my chair. I tried to laugh it off but that was embarrassing.

I mean he fell asleep. He woke up like 5 minutes ago. He texted me and fell asleep on his couch immediately. He didn't apologize which makes me annoyed.

All week had full sun by 730 and starting to feel nice and warm by like 10ish. Including yesterday where it got warm enough we had to open some doors cause getting too hot in the office. Le weekend rolls around and it's almost noon and barely 50 F and full cloud cover that looks like it might rain soon. Well fuck you too mother nature

Get a text from Chase asking if I authorized a purchase at Adidas online store for about $350 at 9:30am. I was sleeping so fuck no , thankfully they declined it anyway and had to cancel my card. Now I’m changing all my passwords and double checking my other accounts , FML.

Phone screen went kaput, so I went to drop it off. On the way back out of the place, there was a pothole that I didn't expect to be deep, turns out it was and I exploded two run flat tires, broke a strut, strut mount, lower control arm. Well, can't just do them in singles in reality, so I end up replacing two struts, two strut mounts, 4 tires (since I have staggered wheels), had a 100 point inspection done, found out the shop t hat did my breaks fucked up some sensors, my rear struts are at end of life. Out 3200 on the car repairs so far, 300 for the phone screen, $750 left to go to get the rear struts done. Might need to end up replacing a sensor control board for my TPMS sensors and I need a new high mount stop lamp since the pothole dislodged the lense from the sudden shock.

Good thing the car is paid off and I can eat the cost, but damn, way too much in one go.

But at least the car drives like new now. Mostly.

Check with the city/county transit. May be able to get reimbursed for some of that due to the damage being caused by a pothole.

Went to a Mardi Gras dinner and ended up sitting next to a couple. Chick was actually pretty cute. Eyeing me hard as shit the whole time. Making conversation wherever she could. Slipped me her number when her boyfriend went to the bathroom and told me to hit her up to "take pictures of her dogs" for her because I told her I did photography. White chicks are fucking wild. Quoting this for emphasis. They may only cover the front tires at most, but that'd still probably be a couple hundred back.

There is zero recourse for auto damage from potholes in Michigan, unless you consider submitting a claim to Michigan Department of Transportation and never hearing from anyone. It can be claimed under your auto policy if you have collision, but it's considered an at fault accident and subject to your deductible. Last year we had a pothole claim where claims totaled the vehicle because of how much damage it had done and the cost to fix versus the value.

So not even 10 am still half asleep after a nice early morning visit ahem and all of a sudden I hear a bunch of shouting, honking and shouting a the sounds of a car peeling out and driving off right out my back window. There happens to be a drug treatment center back there and from what I could see and gather from listening in (yes I'm that close) was it seems somebody started some kind of fight and starting beating up some chick there before driving off and now she's understandable upset with a blackening and cops on there way. So yeah know this sunday is off to a great start
