Glad we ultimately agree. These guys at this point, with the amount of money LIV is paying them, could care less to lose the possible earnings from the PGA tour. The money is at the Majors anyway (if you place high enough obviously).

However, the people who would have in the past played for the US team in the Ryder Cup, cannot play in it.
The US Open has its own qualification system so they can't exclude anyone who meets the requirements.
The Open/British may end up denying qualifying exemptions, but it would be a dick move by PGA to deny past winners. Lefty qualifies for an exemption since he won in 2013.
Don't care either way.
im fine with the LIV turds only being able to play majors. its pretty hilarious how the only guys taking the money are the known douchebags on tour (aside from DJ i guess, i dont know much about how much he's liked among fellow pros, just how much he likes blow). i totally get why saudi arabia is doing this but how long is this even gonna garner media attention? I feel like this weekend's event will be watched by almost nobody, and everybody will stop paying attention to it at all after like...the 4th week. i know they have money to burn but i'm sure they want to get at least a little publicity bang for their buck and would prefer to not just throw a billion dollars into a gigantic black hole
oh and the R&A wont rescind lefty's exemption but goddamn was it sweet watching them slap greg norman down after he asked for an exemption to st andrews
It would be amusing to see them have to requalify for PGA if/when they wanted to come back.
DJ playing on Korn Ferry Tour making 2 dollars and 7 cents for winning etc
If not for the suspensions/Monahan email today, I wouldn't have even known that it started. Don't know what time it actually happened, how to watch it, or even care. The off-course drama is the only thing that people have a modicum of interest about. Then there's this schedule that has me thinking "who made this up?"
1 Centurion Club Hertfordshire, England June 9-11
2 Pumpkin Ridge Portland, Oregon June 30 - July 2
3 Trump National Golf Club Bedminster Bedminster, New Jersey July 29-31
4 The International Boston, Massachusetts September 2-4
5 Rich Harvest Farms Chicago, Illinois September 16-18
6 Stonehill Bangkok, Thailand October 7-9
7 Royal Greens Golf & Country Club Jeddah, Saudi Arabia October 14-16
8 Trump National Golf Club Doral Miami, Florida October 27-30
"Gee, I sure thought that LIV thing was neat. Can't wait for next week!" Oh right... it's not on next week. Two weeks off. Then three weeks off til the one after. Then four weeks off. I'm sure Norman will send some hilarious letter next week about how unjust this is just to try to keep attention, but I'm already bored with him. It was funny for a while, especially watching people from all corners dunk on him, but I'm good now.
lol that’s pretty good
ol greg trying to perfect his trump puckered asshole face
Bryson, Reed and Fowler signed on as well for 2nd LIV event.
Can't keep missing cuts if you play in no-cut tournaments, eh Rickie?
I thought Bryson was playing this week, or maybe it was just announced that he was jumping. Reed was expected at some point. His wife's burner twitter account will probably be busy.
Rory gonna complete the career slam when he's the only golfer left.

this us open final is something
Uh oh, Fitzy.
what a bunker shot
I was expecting something like 20-30 feet left. That looked close to catching the slope to come down towards the cup.
Disappointed to see Rahm fade and McIlroy not really make anything of the day, but this back 9 has been really good.
Brooks Koepka heading to LIV as well.
Now to have him and DeChambeau end up on the same team for lulz
