    Nope, it's still up.

There was some sort of snafu with the soundtrack - as best I can tell, the original soundtrack creator tried to file a DMCA takedown against the game or something? - but they resolved it by replacing the entire soundtrack through an update.

Yeah. The soundtrack artist went off the deep end and went on a DMCA marathon. I wasn't aware they already replaced the soundtrack. That or told the artist to piss off with the lawsuits.

I didn’t know there was a new river city ransom game. Please tell me it doesn’t suck.

The clip finds our dear friends Axel and Blaze reunited and dishing out beatdowns - with all-new moves - to a fledgling group of ill-advised criminals in full force. Streets of Rage 4’s vibrant visuals, courtesy of the team behind 2017’s stunning Wonder Boy: The Dragon’s Trap remake, bring the game’s troubled city to life with a fluid, exaggerated style. The game’s hand-drawn animation adds a burst of flair to every pummeling while still encompassing the gritty aesthetic perfected within the original trilogy.

Streets of Rage 4 is the first installment to the mainline series in more than two decades and will revitalize the iconic baddie-bashing gameplay with modern touches, fresh pulsing jams, and more surprises to be revealed. The team behind Streets of Rage 4 is drawing from a lifetime of love for brawlers to introduce new fans and remind veterans alike why Streets of Rage is one of SEGA’s most beloved series.

Looks hella dope from the trailer. Very much kept the animation/hit style of the original.

I know this is stupid to say given Zan in SoR3, but her moveset seems rather over the top/cartoony

Meet Floyd Iraia, the last Streets of Rage 4 playable character, who dishes out serious damage with his incredibly strong cybernetic arms. Although Floyd’s movement and health recovery are slower than most, he boasts the longest reach among the playable roster and tremendous power, ensuring any combo he puts an enemy through will be devastating.

We are also thrilled to announce the iconic series’ return will support two-player online and up to four-player offline co-op when it launches this spring.

Streets of Rage 4 will also make its way on to PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch in Spring 2020!

    April 30th
Publisher and co-developer Dotemu (publisher of Wonder Boy: The Dragon’s Trap, developer of Windjammers 1 and 2) with co-developers Lizardcube (Wonder Boy: The Dragon’s Trap) and Guard Crush Games (Streets of Fury) proudly announced today that Streets of Rage 4, the long-awaited return of SEGA’s iconic beat-em-up series, will hit PC, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox One as well as Xbox Game Pass on April 30 for $24.99.

The news arrived alongside a trailer revealing the first look at Streets of Rage 4’s Battle Mode, a legacy experience returning from Streets of Rage 2 and 3. This feud-settling battleground is bound to help rivals recognize who truly is Wood Oak City’s finest alley-clearing ruffian, as well as settle grudges spurred by accidental friendly strikes during multiplayer sessions. Witness just a few of the ways champions will be able to dominate their allies by viewing the trailer above.
