Hell, it could be something where Veterinary offices could have their assistants be certified testers.
If they have a service animal, then they have to be close enough to a vet for care already.
I think the issue is Gred is saying currently there is no government body or group of any kind regulating or keeping oversight of the trainers, or even anywhere for the trainers to GET certification from, in Canada the provincial or territorial governments handle it, they certify the trainers or assess owner trained animals, then handlers apply for ID for themselves and their service animal to carry around in case they need to prove it’s a service animal.
Too bad our government has been shutdown for the last uh 2 minutes.
Wholeeee lotta people making the strawman that esa are unreasonable. The vast vast majority of the time esa and service animals are all well behaved and often unnoticeable. Often times people will even pay you a larger deposit and a little more a month just to keep them in the home they rent. Often times they prefer this to getting an ESA letter just cause of the ease and peace of mind, since you can imagine renters love to stay on their landlords good side and graces.
If so many places werent stupid with their pet policy they'd make more money with rent and deposits with a fair pet rule/system. I never understood the incentive to make pets a "problem" as a landlord. You think you can avoid some painting and cleaning after they move out if they dont have a pet? Cmon lol.

UMass asks student to take down Fuck Nazis sign for peaceful and inclusive community. Goes about as well as you expect.

The University is more outraged that the F word was used on her sign than the fact that the previous Hanukkah signs were defaced with Swastikas.

Not sure where to put this but I remember other incidents like this being posted. Dude is staying at a hotel. Has a room there. Decides to take a call in the lobby before heading up to his room. For a currently unknown reason security guard asks him to leave. When dude refuses and even shows guard his room key security guard decides to call police. Dude has to go collect his stuff from his room then find a new room in a different hotel.
I am not even sure how this one could have happened. Having a hard time wrapping my head around the thought process that went into this one.
You have a hard time understanding that white people a. Like telling black people what they can and cannot do. And b. Don't like being told no by uppity darkies?
Counterargument:
It's not that the type of thing wasn't acceptable, it just wasn't reported on.
What are you trying to say here? There was a long period of time in this country where this sort of thing was acceptable. It has not been acceptable behavior though in the last 40ish years (probably longer). It is more reported now than it has been in the past due to the prevalence of cameras and phones. I was inferring that these people want to live back in the day when it was acceptable. It was a joke.
Also going back to the article. It was stupid of them to approach the dude in the first place. People make phone calls in hotel lobbies all the time. Even worse that they continued to kick him out even after he showed them his room key and proved he was staying at the hotel.
To many people are still alive from a time where it was ok to not serve people based on the color of their skin. Those people didnt disappear, they just stayed out of the news and taught their kids the same things they were taught.

IMO, the security guard was in the wrong for still removing the patron after confirming they were staying in the hotel.
I would like to hear whatever reasons just to clarify the situation.
