I got to see some oppression Olympics first hand at USC yesterday judging at a debate tournament.

One girl ran the following arguments on a topic about withdrawing military aid from authoritarian regimes:

1) vote for me because my opponent is already qualified to the tournament of champions and letting me get my second bid will increase female representation at the TOC which is historically underrepresented;
2) my opponent said "stupid" which is ableist and offensive to me as a person with cognitive processing disabilities; and
3) counterplan withdraw military aid from saudi arabia except in the event of alien invasion

It would explain why people were not happy with the latest Star Wars, Ghostbusters, Ocean's 8 and this film. People involved in making them are saying things that alienates the fans and the fans don't appreciate it. It really seems to effect the profits of the final film if they resort to those tactics before it's released.

Wrong. You were allowed to say if you wanted to watch or not. There was no rating.. you could leave comments but those obviously weren't reviews and most were about the marketing and comments Brie has made

She eventually backpedaled into that. She before said things like “I don’t need a 40-year-old white dude to tell me what didn’t work about A Wrinkle in Time,” Larson said. “It wasn’t made for him! I want to know what it meant to women of colour, biracial women, to teen women of colour.” I believe at that same event talked about trying to force the ratio of critics/press to what it is in the population which lets face it means pushing current people out. And one time she went on about some rant about how this film and year was about intersectional feminism. I remember hearing more but honestly haven't cared much... oh yeah and their is talk she got a butt double which is more hilarious than anything if true
