Maybe if the fatties stopped breeding, there would be less fatties.
100% on board with my boy G-Yuri. ain't exactly a 6pack crossfit kung-fu master but as a varsity athlete that became an amateur fighter have been in better shape than most people for most of my life and have had plenty of tubby friends and acquaintances over the years and never felt the urge to get upset about it. couldn't care less how much someone weighs, if they smoke, etc. neither picks my pocket nor breaks my leg and it's none of my fuckin business. will of course encourage the people i care about to make healthier decisions but the sovereignty of man begins over their own body and they can do what they like with it.
Sure, so long as they don't get fat.
I dont think these guys get it. Its not going up to random people and going “LOL FATTY MCFATFAT”. Its telling people that are sloths who do nothing all day but eat and binge watch tv shows who complain how the world is their enemy and its not their fault they’re fat but society made them this way. No, you made yourself this way buddy.
People who make videos of “look at this fat fuck in the gym trying to better themself what a loser” are the kings and queens of cancers.

Look what you did to me AG
You made me agree with Nynja
From hell's heart I stab at thee
Ever since my Distant Worlds concert this summer was soured by having to sit next to a morbidly obese person that was spilling into my seat, I have no sympathy for fat people. Even more recently, on a busy bus ride, there was a standing fat person that was clogging up the middle aisle and wouldn't move to let people off the bus, so people had to jump over occupied seats.
We make fun of gimps in Final Fantasy XI/XIV- being fat is the irl equivalent. Getting fatter is like deleveling, and the only way to get back up is to grind. You can choose either mentally via dieting, physically by working out, and/or RMTing with surgery. Otherwise, no Assassin's armlets, no W. Turban, no ilevel gear, nothing. Only silent ridicule by friends and strangers alike. Oh, and health complications.
If you think this is harsh, know that I used to be fat. Even since I got back into DDR and wanted to beat the current hardest songs, I've lost a ton of weight. Some of my friends and coworkers say I should be buff with the workout regiment I put myself through, but I respond by saying I started at level -100. What keeps me motivated is seeing everyone's health getting worse, and reminding myself to never let myself reach that point again.
You know, something wasn’t sitting well with me on this and I think I can put into words why.
You may want to have some self reflection on the fact that you just pointed a spotlight on someone else’s very personal and possibly private struggles in an attempt to make yourself look/feel good about your morales.
What are you talking about? He never mentioned a single name. Seems to me like you have a guilty conscious.
The problem is you guys keep generalizing fat people acting like people who exercise and eat right might not be fat. Simply fat-shaming removes all context from the reason they're at their current weight, including if they're working hard to lower their weight from what it previously was. There is no nuance in the general fat-shaming going on in this thread even though we all know nobody here would make fun of somebody actively working to improve their situation.
If I had zero prior contact with any of you all I would assume you were all a bunch of fucking assholes.

also some p hard back-peddling going on rn, from 'i'll fat shame whoever i want to fat shame' 'I fatshame because it's hilarious and triggers people' 'I fat shame the shit out of anyone who wheezes after a brisk walk' 'I’ll fat shame whoever the fuck I feel like'
to
'oh no no we'd just tell people who blame others to take responsibility for their bad decisions'.
which, i mean, yeah. duh. that's not even fat shaming, and that's not how anyone was framing it initially it was a bunch of peacocking about being willing to fat shame people.
I never said any of that, just that I don't like fatties and we as a society have judged it ok to send them to camps in order to change them.
Kinda goes unsaid that if someone is working to not be fat then they have earned a reprieve from shame.
i'm saying even if they aren't working to not be fat they don't deserve shame. it's their life, it's nothing to do with you.
think we're all in agreement that those making bad decisions and blaming the world for it deserve a smack upside the head. but i don't think that's a majority of fatties.
