Her Periscope lasted 2 hours. The last moments I saw get clipped are the police leaving w/ her still handcuffed to the door.

Supposedly she ended up at the precinct tho Twitter didn't push for any charges on her.

This is the key point here. Despite how it is being interpreted in modern times, it's more on the side of empowerment historically speaking.

The whole point is that the girl wants to stay and she's defying the social norms of the period which constrained and shamed women for staying over at a man's place. "What's in this drink?" was a way to blame alcohol for "mistakes."

In "Baby It's Cold Outside" the singer is giving her excuses to stay which is what she already wants to do. Compare it to Blurred Lines, the rapey song of this decade, Thicke is saying "I know you want it" which is a much more direct trivialization of consent.

Now of course Thicke says that wasn't the intent of that lyric, but in an age of affirmative concept that phrase is inherently problematic.

The best take on me is Nynja insults while he tries to deflect from how he tried to prove peer-review means nothing by posting anti-vaxxer articles that were explicitly found untrue by peer review.

I posted peer reviewed scientific journal studies showing that the numbers, if anything, were too low. Including one study from the 90s well before "Me too" and other "PC culture" movements (because Nynja claims PC culture has made women think it's okay to call "minor offenses" rape and sexual assault when they "aren't really")

His counter-move was to say studies don't mean anything because scientists can justify anything, and he linked a bunch of anti-vaxxer studies as proof. You know, the studies which were discredited precisely due to peer review.

I once thought the numbers were too high but the science is pretty solid and most researchers think those numbers, if anything, are too low because of underreporting.
