aye it was Levy. and there is great dispute over whether or not Christians are beholden to Old Testament Law. the Bible is a contradictory enough text one can find passages to support any chosen interpretation but when Christ himself touches on the topic he declares he has not come to abolish the Law but fulfill it and that not a single component of the Law will be put away until the Earth passes away / all the Law is accomplished.
I am of course very glad most Christians favor an interpretation that allows them to invalidate half the Bible and pick and choose the aspects that are harmonious with modern secular morality. I will like Islam considerably more when Muslims find a similar workaround to reject the most odious normative ethics of the Qur'an.
