I'll pose a more specific question. What if a new (or rather another) platform that gives an outlet and a connection to racists and such emerges and fails because advertisers won't touch it, the people running it can't keep it open, and there aren't enough donations coming in to keep it afloat?

What is the general feeling regarding a group of people being deplatformed because there just aren't enough people who want to listen to them? And how would that be different, then, from a show getting cancelled for low ratings?

As you say easy business decision. Not much different than any business working for a particular customer base or what have you. As long as a realistic alternative is allowed to exist then it's on those to make it... or swing the decision for the site in your favor.
