No matter how hype I expect a Takeover to be, it always ends up being even better.

Not counting Ohno vs Riddle, the entire card was A+ match quality.

Can we already agree that NXT shouldn’t be a developmental brand anymore? The match quality and wrestlers that come out from there are just on another level thanks to the booking. Hell, the main roster’s so shitty, they even got manhandled in the league of legends match by Dakota Kai alone.

The weekly and house shows are developmental focused, but Takeovers haven't been for awhile now.

Today really only had 2 people who would be marked as someone who actually needed development upon coming to the company (Dream and Baszler), the rest of the card was very well established wrestlers before arriving at NXT.

Entire PPV was off the charts. Man Shayna is so good it's incredible. Kairi looked so small next to her. Gargabo/Black or Ciampa/Dream? I can't say for sure which was better but I loved both. This entire roster, man, can we really say it's just the booking that makes NXT better or is it the talent as well?

It’s absolutely the booking. 90% of the main roster could go out and have good to great 15 minutes plus matches every night if the booking allowed for it. Maybe not the female roster, but most of them that went through NXT could pull it off.

I’d definitely agree that it’s the booking, you can’t totally blame the tv networks completely because the ppv booking is inexcusable and ppvs are in thr wwe network, not in USA. Currently the only people that have damn good matches on Raw are Seth, and Drew, and that’s if they’re allowed 15+ minutes. In Smackdown, it’s mostly New Day vs Usos who impress the most, AJ is bogged down by booking more than his age, but he definitely did go stale with the title.

HHH books almost everyone in NXT as these monsters who can go balls out. But then again, NXT doesn’t tour as much as the main roster, so they’re less injury prone in a way. But again, the way Haytch looks at things and Vince looks at things are night and day, Vince’s old ways are bing criticized left and right, and his henchmen (Hayes, Road dogg, Dunn) aren’t helping his ways. Like no lie, i’m scared of Keith Lee going to the main roster, but i’m hoping to see Keith Lee v. Matt Riddle in a future takeover before they get nerfed. All we’re hoping is for Vince’s retirement, and Haytch taking over, maybe we’ll see less house shows, but that allows talent to rest more, hopeful that big changes are on the horizon.

The main roster's booking will be fine once Vince dies and Trips takes over. If you guys want better booking, hire a hit job on Vince already or poison his food or something. He's the Jerry Jones or Al Davis of wrestling: a guy who was a phenom in his youth, but a man who's brain has rotted away and is now a poison on the very thing he has power over.
