I love how they’re treating the fact that Rey gets his masked removed as the first time this has ever happened. WWE seems to have totally erased the fact that Rey wrestled without his mask in WCW for some time. Lol

They do that because technically they were two different characters which is why Rey got away with putting the mask back on in Mexico too. Rey Mysterio Jr lost his mask in WCW but Rey Mysterio never did. Semantics to most but in lucha libre culture they were two different characters. Originally Posted by Nitsuki

Wait, where is he Rey Mysterio, and where does he have Jr too? I understood the loophole that it was a claim that it was different characters, but I didn't know it was basically a naming thing since I never thought about whether or not he had Junior slapped on to his name or not.
