That Bennett hit on Simek looked late. The hit itself (contact wise) looked clean but it was definitely walking that line just a bit too long after Simek got rid of the puck. Of course, it never would have happened if the refs didn't put their whistles away and called shit like Dell slamming his lumber into Bennett's mid-section as he skated by just moments earlier.

Game was feisty and I'm glad the Flames won, but a lot of the late shenanigans were totally avoidable if the refs actually intervened

Also, Tampa went 13-0-1 in December. That's fucking ridiculous. 40 games in they're the only team to still have single-digits in the loss column (that's regulation+OT losses combined too).

Dallas will host the Winter Classic on 1/1/20 at the Cotton Bowl Stadium

St. Louis will host the All-Star Game

Ovi scores his 30th of the year. His 14th year with 30+, tied with Gretzky and Gordie, the only 2 players to have more are Jagr with 15, and Gartner with 17.

Only Gartner, Jagr and now Ovi have 14 straight seasons and only Gartner and Ovi did it in their first 14 seasons.

This Bruins/Flames game is a doozy so far. Johnny always manages to score a couple behind the goal line goals like that every season. Gonna be a fun finish.
