Biiiiiig big game for the Flames today. Going up against New Jersey and a win would put Calgary and SJ even in games played but with Calgary up 7 points. At this point, with all the deadline trades, I don't care if Calgary doesn't finish 2nd in the league or if Boston catches up to us or etc, I just want to be top of the Pacific and face one of the shakey wildcard teams while all the other teams that loaded up beat each other down in the first round.
What were people's thoughts on the Chara hit on Kane? Kane seems to think it was an elbow to the head but the clips of the hit look like Chara just tucked his arm to his side, kept his shoulder straight (IE, not driving it into Kane) and just put up a 6'9", 250lb wall that Kane ran into.

Some racism going on in Saint-Jerome

Out-shooting New Jersey 30-10 after 2 periods, only winning 2-1 ._.
Hawks do it to the Ducks again with late game goals. Good game. Crawford looked good for his first game back. Happy with the effort from the Ducks but that was a great pass to Saad and a better move around lindholm to set up the game winner.
Racisim is everywhere but at least you don't have a giant orange racist asshole muppet running your country.
Islanders fans are an embarrassment.
eh, I think they have the right to be pissed at Tavares.
Bruins utterly dominated the Bolts and I love it (granted they have played 3 games in 4 nights)
I think it's more so, not wanting to be traded his last year and saying he was gonna re-sign and then fucking off to TOR where literally everyone in the world knew he wanted to play since he was a kid. I mean, there was talk of him trying to sign an AHL contract with TOR to circumvent the draft 10 years ago. Fans would have been fine with it if he was traded and they saw even a decent return for him, and instead hated on management for trading him but he came out and said he didn't want to be traded.
Yea, management was shit for years but that has nothing to do with the fans and their feeling of betrayal over his final year and the things he said. Fans are usually pretty okay with players moving on, if the player is honest but JT was just saying cliche shit and drooling over TOR.
I don't think I ever saw a statement of intention to re-sign but it hardly matters. Players get booed, Phil Kessel got booed after being traded. Being mad he left is fine, making videos and mocking his 8-year-old self is just completely next level. I think it's simply that New York fans are used to being on the other end of this story. They're used to getting FAs, not losing them.
If the loudest night in your arena in recent memory is held by the time everyone came to boo the best player their franchise had in almost two decades, I don't think you're as over the player as you're saying you are.
Boucher fired because he couldnt win games with the ECHL team Dorion/Melnyk put together.
