ad hominems aside, telling someone they can't have a political or moral belief unless they subscribe to some list of ideas that you yourself came up with doesn't seem like a very intelligent take

Actually, maybe you're on to something. Yeah, let's call it a purity test. If you fail the test and you're still anti-abortion and want to force that view onto others, then yes, I consider you to be absolute hypocritical scum. You can be pro-choice and still not want any of the things I listed. Those are two very different arguments.
definitely no couples out there waiting to adopt either i'm sure you have some data to back that up
Yes, if you believe in forcing women to have children they don't want and ensuring said child will suffer throughout their childhood needlessly, then yes, I believe said person doesn't actually have morals and is actually subhuman. That doesn't seem like an extreme take to me, considering what these scum actually want.
and wanting abortion outlawed may not make you an evil person, but you certainly support an evil position
There is a biiiiiiiiiiiiiig difference between saying "I don't like abortion, I wish people didn't abort, but I will not stop you from doing so" and "I don't like abortion so fuck you and fuck your unborn child to a life of suffering".
Heres a venn diagram of people who are anti-abortion and anti-welfare
______________
anti abortion
anti welfare
_____________
Thats one of the problems. They dont give a fuck about the baby once its out the womb. Oh, unfit to parent? “Lol too bad figure it out yourself bitch”
i'll take your word on it, seems like you've talked to a great deal of pro lifers to form this opinion
I can understand how someone, rather I feel they are misguided or not, might feel its morally right to allow babies to be born and have a chance at life, I mean, even if they're born to drug addicted parents who hate them, perhaps they'd defy the odds and grow up normal and have a happy life right and contribute to our society?
But even if they hold that position which I can at least understand from an empathetic point of view, I do not believe that view should be forced on everyone by law. As such, I strongly believe in Pro-Choice, cause at the end of the day, it should be their choice and not mine. If we have a safe means to abortions, we should encourage the safe means be used, not just run people into the arms of dangerous and illegal means. Much like drugs and marijuana, you're not banning Abortions, you're opening the door for illegal and unsafe abortions.
Sure
Maybe there are thousands of people (out of over 300 million americans) who may subscribe to one of the two options of that venn diagram. The problem is the people who make the rules ARE that venn diagram.
This argument comes full fucking circle every time with people going Y dOnt U jUst aDoPt and it's worthy of maximum cringe.
People pick and choose their hypocrisy, and it's totally okay to be against abortions and realize the lesser of two evils is to provide safe access as opposed to none, because then you kill two people - the mother and the fetus you thought you were protecting with your absolutist nonsense.
You aren't going to adopt a child from a mother. The predominant thought is "birth that thing and get a job you whore or keep your legs shut". Yea, fuck that.
You aren't going to foster a child either.
Advocating for either of those options as alternatives when most people do neither despite posturing is shallow and meaningless. It's almost as shallow as saying we should do something about climate change or homelessness and then throwing your hands in the air because NIMBY lobbies hard against that and you go "well there are always shelters and people need oil jobs".
At the end of the day, a position of "what about adopting or fostering" is a strawman that ignores how broken those systems are.
In fact, it reminds me of student loan forgiveness too.
I'll stop there. This argument is tired and stupid. Stop litigating a woman's body. It's not fucking hard.
I could link you what the thedonald is saying but I don't want to inflict that on anyone to be honest. The gist is "whores should stop being whores if they don't want babies".
you can hold views much stronger than just "i dont like abortion" but also not actively vote or attempt to prevent women from getting them, people have a wide range of takes on the morality of abortion and not everyone is actively legislating laws, 40% of people dont even vote in national elections lol
