So I saw the vote failed in the Senate. Have the democrats considered voting harder?
I see the Democrats lack a majority in the Senate to pass my agenda, therefore I will vote less of them in and complain.

The $250,000 limit big donors could donate to candidates after winning elections has been lifted. Why? Because limiting the amount of money they can donate is restricting their free speech.
But her emails and I just can't vote for Hillary cause I don't like her.
I love how money can be equated to free speech by a technicality but a fundamental right to bodily autonomy is not freedom from tyranny somehow.
Well at least on one rare positive note a judge in Michigan has suspended their dormant 1930s abortion ban that would have become law when abortion rights are destroyed in June. This makes it harder for fascists to attack women with legal problems and easier for Michigan Dems to pass a state law protecting abortion if they win in the midterms.

I wonder whether Dem state attorney generals in states like Wisconsin and Michigan or city AGs in Madison, Milwaukee and Detroit will simply refuse to enforce ancient state laws criminalizing abortion if they cannot overturn them in gerrymandered legislatures.

Sounds like you get more bang for your buck at Regent.
Wouldn't more Harvard grad be getting scooped up by big expensive type law firms? Is this even anything unusual?
Clerkships are generally considered the most prestigious right out-of-law-school positions, and coming right out of a clerkship makes you extremely competitive for entry level at top law firms.
That being said, plenty of top law firms will have much more stringent requirements on graduates from non-elite schools. Like they will only proceed with applicants in the top 10/5 class rank at a local law school but will interview people from the top 15% from Tier 1 and the Top 25% from the T14.
It wouldn't surprise me if they are getting their students placed through strong alumni connections. When UC Irvine first launched, Dean Chemerinsky basically called in a bunch of favors with judges to get UCI's students into clerkships in order to get their school highly ranked for their US News World and Report ranking debut. Like I had a friend who got a clerkship in Hawaii despite not being native and having zero connection to Hawaii.
Chemerinsky doing right by his students both in job placement and Con Law writing.

Decision bars federal courts from hearing new evidence not presented in a state court as a result of ineffective legal counsel
Good luck with state counsels. If they suck at their job your only recourse is with the same state that fucked you over in the first place thanks to this ruling.
Barring someone from presenting new evidence to prove their innocence because *checks ruling* they already got fucked over at the state level is ridiculous.
