there isnt a shop or anything
Literally just the $10 dark arts pack for some cosmetics and access to a dark arts arena to mess around with the unforgivable spells. Surprisingly tame, they could have easily made a bunch of spam cosmetic DLC to look like known characters and it woulda sold.
The clothes shop in Hogsmeade, I've picked up a couple "unidentified head gear" for free yet they won't appraise like other "unidentified" items when using the desk. There's no ? on the icon and they're put in my cloaks in my gear menu, so I've just been assuming it's bugged or something. Or is it just something I don't have yet?
Considering they're free, they're likely garbage anyway, but I've done a couple inventory+ things, and I sell most stuff so it's not like I'm concerned about the inventory space by lugging them around.
I dunno if this goes here or in the politics thread but oh well
Man I thought he was just rehashing the Forspoken video joke but nope lmao
Haha the Gex segment is A+
Just unlocked Brood and Peck. I thought it was bad before where I would just sit in my room, watching timers and think "well, that one's close. I can just stay for that one." Questing/progress will have to wait, as I'm busy watching a mooncalf run around.
Man I wish there was a level of alohomora that let you skip the minigame. We don't need lockpicking minigames in the year of our lord 2023.
Fucking Fallout. You don't even get xp from them like in Fallout.
Yeah, that's a bit surprising that there's no accessibility option to press/hold a button to skip that. At least the level 2 and 3 locks don't add more things to the mix and it's just a matter of needing the upgrade.
Girlfriend finally finished the game, easy GOTY for her, the characters and attention to lore details really hit every button she could have asked for. Combat is fun but it's not really that challenging, which is fine, not everything needs to be a punishing experience. Ending felt a bit rushed I thought, but she was happy enough with it. Looking at it without any concerns of the political aspect, I dunno how anyone could rate it less than an 8/10. We did run into a few minor graphical glitches, the game went to single digit FPS during two fights with a lot on screen, and we had one hard crash back to PS5 dashboard, but not anything too bad. It's a pretty polished game from beginning to end in our experience.
What was your final time to complete the game?
With about 80% of the side quests and maybe 25% of side activities like bandit camps, Merlin trials, etc, we clocked just a little over 60 hours. At least 5 hours of that was Room of Requirement/Vivarium customization, and prolly another few hours spamming Revealo over every inch of the game. Still missing about 10% of the pages, but she hasn't gotten tier 3 Alohamora so I assume they're behind those doors. There are a couple of post game quests to do, with one of them requiring level 34 that she's working towards now.
Real missed opportunity of the game is showing how many times you've cast spells once you beat it. Revealio has to number in the low tens of thousands.
I went and collected the stuff for all levels of Alohomora the moment that quest was unlocked. You don't need all of them.
omg this, got the spell, did it once and was like "oh that's cool, they show you doing it once then...oh wait..I have to do it again? Are you kidding me?" Skyrim flashbacks. Also fuck the flying key mini game, something i'm missing besides just getting frustrated at trying to slap it when it passes over the keyhole 1000 times?
The dragonfly keys took me back to Hades and "fishing is the real endgame". Only this was worse because I'm not sure if there's a maximum # of moves before passing the center, so you can't even be like "ok, it's this one". The diagonal passes seemed to be easier for me to catch.
The locks I wouldn't have minded as much if they were even like the tower things in Spider-Man where it's just getting them both right rather than having to hold it in place.
M+KB doesn't make you hold it in place :^]
