Depends on how bad things get and what you really want.

If you own a house, sweet. That equity isn't gonna go anywhere and you have property in the event of a systemic mortgage collapse (may actually benefit you if the company managing your mortgage goes bust).

Owning a car is good too. Physical property holds value regardless of where the market is.

From an investment standpoint? You can't win. The whole thing eats shit, you eat shit. You can certainly hedge against things or invest in disaster funds but the reality is that a systemic level crash of the debt markets would probably rip every single sector apart.
