Wes and DJ are also on expirings and a decade too old to fit the Doncic-DSJ timeline. they may not like Luka or resent the great white hope hype but I think mostly these dudes are just trying to pump up their stats for their last big contracts, and don't care too much about a team that doesn't care about them.

Kidd was rubbish but Bucks underwent significant personnel change along the margins that has totally changed their offense. adding Ilyasova + Lopez and giving Henson the 3-point green light means their core bigs besides Giannis are firing off 11 threes a game at a solid percentage. Bud has done good work adjusting Middleton's shot profile and ending the Brogdon/Bledsoe minutes staggering, but more than anything having a constant deep threat at center has opened the floor in a huge way for Giannis and his slashy guard corps.

league is rightfully star-centered but what's happening to the Bucks and inversely to the Rox shows how important team construction is farther down the rungs.
