Luka doesn't get as much lift as Harden but in every one of these his feet land ahead of where he jumps from and if Klay was undercutting the great white hope nba twitter and reddit would be losing their minds
They also ignored Harden doing the exact same thing to Curry during the game.
I'd wager them committing to just not calling it.
And I mean, r/nba is definitely losing their mind over it. It's just so conflicting with how universally loved Klay is and the disdain for Harden's style so the internet doesn't know how to handle it.
Oh some guy on Reddit compiled all of them last night on both sides.

Harden on Curry is the only one that is comparable and if you watch the replay around 2:20 of that video you can see Harden take a step backwards after Curry releases when he realizes he may be under him
Klay did it 3 times and never once tried to modify his feet being under Harden's out of concern. all the other Warriors were able to contest Harden without him landing on their feet. i know you're a Warriors stan but this should go beyond fandom. it's extremely dangerous and the Rockets are an ornery enough team i could see them start to undercut Golden State's jumpshooters if they feel they aren't being given a fair shake.
I'm not really trying to defend it, I'm just saying that this is definitely Harden's reputation working against him (coupled with a side of the long standing tradition of refs constantly ignoring fouls on Curry).
Klay is far and away my favorite player so it definitely bugs me seeing him going for moves that look as underhanded as these. Klay has never been viewed as a dirty player,so the thoughts of having to wave off his actions like he was Bruce Bowen or something is not a prospect I'm looking forward to.
Jesus, now the Rockets are complaining about last year's game 7 loss. http://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/2...nals-bid-taken
They wrote that report up a year ago, but never filed it with the league. And now somehow it gets accidentally leaked.
Obviously they're doing this to try to get the officials on their side for the rest of the series, which honestly any team would be trying to do (ok well maybe not writing an entire play by play analysis with fractional point breakdowns based on missed calls). But like my God, the entire Rockets org are looking like the saltiest motherfuckers on planet Earth right now.
Well it worked for the Vegas Golden Knights last week

The Raptors v 76ers game is getting good. Its good to see good teams in the east
Who’s this Scott Foster guy and why does he still have a job? Don’t follow basketball much.
He is unquestionably the worst ref in the NBA and was even tied to the Donaghy stuff that happened like a decade ago(a ref who admitted to betting on games he was working).
He has a known issue with Chris Paul and James Harden and hasn't officiated any Rockets games since like early February, AND the Warriors only have something like a 50% win rate on games he officiates.
In short, expect a gigantic shit show.
why would they do this
pj tucker may murder a man on air
Slight correction, he's not "unquestionably" the worst. A player poll earlier this year has Tony Brothers voted as the worst ref (and incidentally also the 3rd best ref)
I know Scott Foster won in 2016 and 2018 at least tho.
There gonna be some salt tonight.

And Vince Carter announced he's coming back for season #22
it's very telling whether or not people have played basketball when they talk about this
Harden will do anything to draw a foul, it is know, he'll kick out and collapse and everything else, but Van Pelt is comparing stationary jump shots to stepbacks and threw a pull-up in there for good measure. they're three different shot types with three different biomechanics, and the stepback is the one your legs will swing forward the most on acting as a counterbalance.
