Nah I think we're seeing the effect of playoff defense on the Warriors' freedom/motion offense. This is where the Warriors would lean on KD's iso play and ability to make contested shots. Like that Lowe piece said, it's honestly the number one playoff weapon for an NBA team/player and why elite perimeter scorers have so often defined the game.
rando stat: golden state assisted on EVERY made FG in the second half. 22 assists, 22 made FG.
Lmao. Omg I just made a thread too
Somehow Raptors were 0-20 and still could have won if their shooting would have been a bit better, Lowry and Gasol getting on foul problems so early too, also i gotta accept D.Green had an amazing defensive game and Klay was on fire until his injury.
the refs did it

Reminder that the refs called the play that injured Looney an offensive foul.

The refs were horrendous on both sides last night (especially in the first half), but pretty ridiculous how they kept calling offensive fouls for Kawhi shoulder tackling defenders. Tho guys like Giannis and Harden have also made getting away with that a major part of their offense and it keeps not getting called, so /shrug
Speaking of Kawhi, he's suing Nike for ownership of his Claw logo. He gonna lose hard tho
In 2014
“I came up with the idea of incorporating my initials in this logo,” said Leonard after shooting around in the shoe prior to the Spurs season opener last night. “I drew up the rough draft, sent it over and they (Jordan Brand) made it perfect.”
The graphic is inspired by the nickname his Spurs teammates gave him, “The Claw,” because of his enormous hands and ability to make stunning plays with his metacarpi. The logo specifically takes the shape of a sizable hand and also interweaves his initials. Leonard stated that he saw the final version for the first time this past Saturday.
“I give the Jordan Brand team all the credit because I’m no artist at all,” Leonard. “They refined it and made it look better than I thought it would ever be, and I’m extremely happy with the final version.”
Yeah you keep saying offensive fouls but you mean defensive*
But I agree shoulder checking shouldn't be a viable strategy. LeBron been doing it forever
