The specific events vary. I couldn't remember specifics, so I checked reddit:

This one was a flat 25% rebate on all Lapis purchases for Prime day. It was advertised as 25% off, but you had to have enough to cover the non-discounted cost, so it worked as a rebate. There was no limit AFAIK. The rebate was instant as well.

This one was for new Amazon app store customers only, but it was 35% off of the 10,000 coin bundle, so $65 for $100 more or less. There have been many of these sorts of events, though this was the highest that I recall. I've seen others for less.

This one coincided with the above deal. The $50 Lapis bundle had a flat -25% price to it, bringing it down to $37.50. This specific one was bugged and Amazon hadn't approved it yet even though the in game news advertised it and the in game cost showed $37.50, but on checkout, it showed $50. For me personally, this is when Amazon refunded purchases and gave the coins anyways, and Gumi followed up 2~ months later and gave me an additional 18k Lapis.

That's all I'm able to track down. I feel like there was one more event shortly after the Amazon version came out, but it may have been EU only or something and I'm just misremembering. All of these were also back when coins were regularly 25% off for the $500 bundle. It seems that's a rarity anymore.

Nope. I actually just tried to do a few more pulls on the halloween banner and got a dracu lasswell from my 30% ticket and first CG fina.

GL exclusive upgrades!... to the STMR lol. At least the 4* TMR upgrade is good, I'm gonna toss a few tickets to get that for GL Sakura.

Go do the daily for mag or atk pots... so 1/3 odds right shouldn't take to many tries right? Yeah 12 tries later... yeah way less than 1%.

I'm also miffed that just yesterday I tried my hardest to math out a mag build for Kurasame that would be beat my atk build and couldn't at least without GL sakura stmr and then maybe... and now we basically get a 4* TMR that is the same thing. Argh more math

Got Barbie #2 from EX ticket and Eiko #1 from 35M ticket. Not sure whether to 7* Barbie or not, as I don't have any other 7* Tornado frame chainers and I do have 2x 7* TT.

Definitely not using the little girl with the raging boner in her sprite.

That's some bad luck considering there are like 7 7* tornadoers right now. She still pretty strong with a 6* against things you are magicking but aren't killing on turn 1.

Also did the math if I had gotten GL sakura stmr and then new mag TDH materia could get kurasame over 2k mag lol... maybe even while getting atk over 1k

Ugh... the urge to buy lapis to do the Kurasame and Machina step-ups is getting stronger but I REALLY don't want to give Gumi money.

Even just going to 3rd step is decent value for the tickets. But yeah if you buy gil now you would've have lied to them! Still got story event coming up so if you've been holding on since last step up might have enough for ? Also Machina was completely DoA jp... only reason it's the hotness right now is we wont get Loren for a little bit. Even then I'd almost want the new brd for a breaker instead maybe...

idk, i got 2 machina's and i like him as a single target breaker for now.. i dont have any lorens at all yet.

Oh he's pretty good for right now but like half the hype is because they released him much earlier comparatively to others compared to JP. Even then Ramza/Delita can do pretty close individually. So like if you got him use him but wouldn't lose sleep or real money over not getting it.

Either way I'm semi excited by Elephim. LB that gives the strongest non CD full buffs in the game right now and the strongest full break (and for that matter highest breaks for spr/def in the game and 2nd only to machina LB for atk/mag)

I believe they were released together in JP. The fact that they're being separated for GL should be alarming enough given our recent developments.
