FF:BE - Need One More Thread for STMR

Took cg lid, barbie and use way of the void but still couldn't do it from 80%. Might have to figure out how to do it the slow way cause bursting from 81% isn't working. Used cg lid's maxed LB, Tempest eye wall from barbie and chain'd both Hyoh and only go it to 30%. I'll get it eventually.

Using 2x lightning Hyoh's, Olive, and Lid I've gotten it down to 4%, 1%, and 2% on my attempts so far. What kills me is that the latter two were from 81% and the first one was from 85% so if I'd not tried to jump the gun I would've had it done the first time around.

Gonna try again in a few minutes, or whenever another Tonitrus Hyoh comes around.

I just awakened 4 more Ace to 7* for the event. The phantoma are worth 50g each, so a full run with a doublicorn is worth 2m gil. I'm hoping to basically max out during this event.

Which is more powerful? Double hyoh lbs or using his triplecast with phantom blade? I went in with a random hyoh friend and of course, didn’t have aquan killer, and no stone resist. But i took levi from 81 -> 30% with double hyoh lb and it pissed me off because that felt like a wet fart of damage after dispelling with celes, cg nichol lb max lvl, max lvl cg lid lb, and i had my demon rain cast crazy day for an extra 35% imperil. I think that hyoh didn’t have max lb tho...

Well you can't triple cast a cooldown move but I assume you mean phatom blade into x2 servant? Yes that would be stronger just in pure multipliers by a little bit plus would give you a stronger imperil for the ones after the first Phantom. Also Nichol LB is weaker than way of the void boost by ALOT. So could sub him out for a stronger imperil to really up your dmg

Also the petrify is ST. Provoke with your cover tank Hyoh doesn't need resist

In your case probably the triple chain using one of the Hyohs to imperil. Something like:

Hyoh 1 - Phantom > Servant > Servant
Hyoh 2 - Servant > Servant > Phantom

Or without cooldowns:

Hyoh 1 - Voltage > Servant > Servant
Hyoh 2 - Servant > Servant > Servant


His LB is really strong but you need a good imperil ahead of time. You can also throw pretty much any other chaining move into it and have it add to the chain because it's long with fast frames.

Its a good thing i looked at the drop rates of these bannera before i pulled on the step ups. What a fucking con lmao. The 3 characters pictured are not the only units you can pull, there's like 15 units on each banner, but they picked the 3 best of each one to try to trick people into pulling on them.

Since i need to LB finish, i would need to use some with lb if i plan to use double phantom into servants triple cast blahblah. The issue is I’m familiar with CG nichol’s kit and 140% atk on his maxed out lb. if i could use someone else with a long LB i could be set in this sense.

True but it's still a poor picture. Adding that double rainbow rate is an even worse offender lol... and the fact that you have to dig deep to find the list of units.

I was having a hell of a time trying to find it cause the list is so fucking long due to explaining the odds of each and every single step of the step ups.

It's 134% and way of the void is 200%. I love him but if you using celes + evasion cover tank and not having to dispel yourself (ie going below thresholds) Nichol aint doing shit

Scratch that, Leviathan down. Got him from 1-44 with all the blue supercites I had saved.

If you are doing that probably best off doing the physical cover + team 130% water 100% ice resist setup and have some way to give AoE stop protection. Alternatively you could do some fun stuff and use magic cover tank and spam INichol LB. From there you need to decide on if you want to deal with the announcement of dispelling and re breaking every turn you want to do dmg (likely taking some turns off to build gauges and such) or break the 99% reduction but that ejects someone and will need water resist for the team since that move can't be covered.

My idea was to use Kurasame and Tidus for DDs since between them they can give 100% water and 70% ice and are strong chainers together making having a full team of resistance pretty easy.

Alternatively apparently Zargabaath can "solo" it using a Xon to eat the ejection move

There's also the fast method where you push a threshold each turn... but that's not easy especially getting 2 summons in
