In my defense I'd only need 1 Ariana (which when she was released last time came with a Coin system guaranteeing her after 5 pulls so I'd cautiously expect something similar), and I'd need 2 Ayaka or 2 Fina which I haven't gotten yet lol.

Well in Cyn's defense he did ask if you had any other 5* base healers... obviously if you do not then yeah go with the one you have. Also wouldn't hold out hope for coins given how they've failed to implement any of the other time limit improvements

edit: most the time I need some healing I just use Nichol anyways... can't wait for 7* which should be next batch. 2nd STMR goooooo. Also putting off leviathan till then because gunna try the push threshold each turn or kill method while trying to get all missions and his 7* would really help with that

I'd rather get a new 5* Ariana unit over Charming Kitty, never really cared for that one honestly. And my main gripe with Ariana units is that they are all Bards which... makes sense but are total trash right now in GL (and JP). If they come up with new bard mechanics then I might be interested.

Idk what else they could do with her outside of being a Melee DPS lol. They have a Support, a Tank, a BLM, and a (Wtf is the other one even good for?). As you said Full-BRD is worthless these days, maybe a new 5* BLM with support to contrast the WHM/Support that CK Ariana is. Either way if they release a new 5* It'd be dumb not to update the old one too so i'm cool with it.

Can't decide whether to pull on Seighart. I love 11k banners, and I don't have a 7* magic tank, but honestly I'm happy with Mr Stache for physical tanking and pretty much anyone with magic cover and resist gear tanks magic just fine. His STMR is also pretty mediocre in my opinion, and TMR is definitely good but not particularly special.

Whoa, the units on this banner are actually surprisingly good. The tmr whip is the best nuking whip right now and we finally get a non-shit gun tmr.

I get what its supposed to be, a riding crop. But the sprite doesn't make it look thin enough for it so it comes off as dildo-y lol.

There are definitely situations where there are some strong non elemental magic moves you want to cover. But can always borrow someones A Rain for those somewhat uncommon situations

In a lot of those situations you can just reraise your magic tank too. That's kind of why I never bothered with Merc Ramza. Having AoE magic cover on a cooldown makes him significantly less useful as a magic tank, and he's definitely not on par with Wilhelm for physical tanking.

I mean you could but pretty terrible efficiency to reraise and re-cover each turn. You could also most the time just do AoE reraise every turn and ignore tanks all together. But that's lame and boring and a waste of actions/slots each turn as well. Also I often don't bother to bring a raise that isn't my Rain... or go for OHKO/FTK or push threshold every turn strats so meh on tanks a lot of the time in general lol

How in the world is reraising your tank before thresholds and having them reapply cover when you don't have a "real" magic tank inefficient? If it's a move that the enemy does every turn, yeah, def using an A Rain from FL, but that seems really rare outside of 10 mans... where you can't take a FL unit anyways.

Never said anything about just thresholds and no where was I talking about not having a real magic tank. Whole line of conversation was predicated on having one actually being useful over not having one for Christ sakes

As far as applicable I mean you can say the same about physical. Is there anything besides 10 mans you can't do with WoL as your physical tank?

Sieg is a magic tank on a cooldown... he can work as one but we have much better options than him already available (A. Rain /Beryl).

Which goes pretty much full circle to my original statement of not knowing whether I'm going to bother with the step-up. I have 7* Wilhelm and several 6* magic tanks, so unless I'm missing something obvious Sieg isn't offering me much that I don't have already other than his charm stuff since he's not a full on magic tank.

Might just UoC a second Awakened Rain honestly.

I think the biggest hit against pulling much right now, unless you got tons of lapis, is winter Christmas is coming. And it's probably gunna be quad rainbow with offbanners still being 2/3 of the them rainbows pulled. Also likely SoM. That said one of the 4 star dudes is pretty awesome with a ridiculously huge def break LB

We’re not gonna get KH anytime soon, that’s jp onry lol. The order is supposed to be Sieghard > yuraisha > xenogears, but the thing is gumi is fucking stupid and they skipped tifa/vincent and i’m sure they’re actually holding them off until xmas because they think it’ll be a cash cow for them like cloud was. But the units actually are not good.
