The common thinking is that Disney wouldn't let the KH IP be used twice so if it doesn't release at the same time globally it means we won't get a shot at it at all, and I doubt Gumi would give a shit about balance knowing how much money people will throw at Sora and Riku.

More like the previous KH collab we've seen was in FFRK and that happened at the same time in both GL and JP. Considering this collab drops alongside KH3's release there's no reason to believe GL will get it months later, they'll just make GL versions of these characters to match our current meta.
It's only announced for JP because we have our GL Fanfest coming up, it'll be revealed there as well.

yeah that's like when I kept pulling Finas but I already had 3 Ayakas. like, ok, she's nice and she does have some tools that Ayaka doesn't but overall I would have rather pulled my first TDH TMR or a DR chainer (which I eventually did)
