It's worth noting that while Hyoh's enhancements are really good, he only gets to about 2/3rd the strength of Akstar and other units on his level. He does have a much easier time getting set back up if he happens to die though. Power creep will be real in the next few months.

Tifa also got some really good enhancements. Not broken amazing or anything, but she's a solid DPS with a single turn setup to get 5 turn imbued water and -120% water imperil, followed by high damage DR chains.

Crimson (we'll be seeing him shortly after Akstar) got really shit tier enhancements comparatively. He'll still be chased for his 185 two handed fire great sword STMR though.

Hyoh will be way, WAY easier to equip with his enhancements though. 100% more equip attack, longer access to T skill and imbue+imperil will have him dropping big numbers without a lot of access to STMR level gear (Basically you get the materia slot from Buster back). Turn 1 use WotV, then F/V + Servantx2, then it's just triple servant. If anything is still alive and he has MP, you can replace 1 of the servants with Phantom the next time around. No more need for Bahamut or Vajranya either, his own STMR is suddenly useful to him.

If you’ve been saving up UoC tickets, you’re guaranteed 2 Akstars after his banner is done.

I didn't say it was best in slot, I meant that it will have some usefulness at all for him.

Free 5* Was Lid#4. I'm not even sure her STMR is worth the 3mil if I don't plan on using her 7* version. (Awakening 7*s for the reward alone will have to wait until I have a lot more gil)

Considering our TDH meta, having 2 Buster Styles is definitely a bonus.

Cloud gets a bit of a raw deal. They really improved him a good bit for GL. His biggest issue is he's still pretty much just a finisher. Meteor Rain can chain, but it's a very weak chain with only 2 other main partners, both far better than himself. Finishers are hard to fit in and in general, there are others who provide more benefits or hit harder that can do the job just as well if not better. Nevermind that having a finisher typically isn't needed and isn't too easy to fit in.

While off banners can't be counted on by any means, you can look at it as being 50% of the way towards his STMR which'll be nearly BiS for someone like enhanced Hyoh in 9~ months. If you awaken and enhance him, you may also be capable of completing the attack parameter mission more easily with him. Parameter missions should be coming within the near future. Can check here for JP's missions and rewards. It's possible our's will change, whether nerfed, buffed, or just the values changed, maybe to account for unstackable materia.
