FF:BE - Need One More Thread for STMR

So I decided to reinstall and see what free goodies accumulated in my inbox, thank God I did. I used the fan festa tickets to get a second Demon Rain, so I finally got my white whale 7* tank and got my 4th Gilgamesh from EX tickets, so got my first STMR.

Gonna quit again once I finish Folks step up and story and finish FF7 event. Game is now almost too big for my phone

Bummer, 7* upgrades for SOA units only after maintenance this week. Gonna have to wait til next month for the rest of them. Do like that were getting free logins for the event and the free lapis summon is back.

I don't think that's the case. Taiwanese stream showed off one of the banners for the awakened units hitting next week. Those banners always hit the week that awakenings are added. The banner was 1/28-1/31 so the other banner is likely 1/25-1/28. The 28-31 one has Kain, Rydia, Mediena, Lid, and Jake. Means the other banner will have Shera, Reagan, Nichol, Jiraya and Lila.

This awakening batch is going to hit my gil hard. I have all of them to 7* except Shera and Reagan, with Nichol, Jake, and Lila having STMR.

I can 7* Jiraya, Kiddia, and Jake. All three of which will serve only as the eventual, theoretically being released, mission for awakened units. I see no use in them otherwise.

Is that all the remaining units that have yet to be 7* unlocked? Is this long nightmare finally over?

Yep, that's more or less it except for a few limiteds like CNY units and Rico. I suppose Tomb Raider colab could come back at some point and give us a 7* Lara too.

I'm glad it's over. Having some gil set aside for new 7*s isn't so bad, but having 7? (forget how many batches we've had) updates drop that add a 3-60+ million gil bill to your plate is annoying.

seems that the general consensus is to hold off on UoCing Cloud TMR; I think that's probably right in the end... I mean I will probably pull a Cloud eventually and I have no desire to 7* him

I have one Fayt and zero Rena and that's all I need. well... tempted to go for another Fayt for my second 7* Beatrix but that would be dumb... ok maybe I will >.>

I'd say it really depends on what you got. Like if you got a strong TDH unit and buster style would make it better and you already set on 7* tanks, buffers and breakers then sure why not. Wouldn't really consider it otherwise though.


For step ups none of them really excite me right now. Might want the fist tmr for good boi though. And guess it really depends on actual stats/moves so idk. Want to save for pupper though

well it would be for Hyoh, who I have at 7*. although he does get TDH buffs down the line so I think Buster Style becomes irrelevant for him later?

tanks I'm rolling in, breakers I've got, buffers I have Seaside Nicky whose viability seems to depend on whether your DPS self-buff ATK/MAG or not.

meh I'll sit on it for now; Cloud ain't going anywhere anyway

I am also looking forward to Claic's Fayt pulls... no matter how it goes, it'll be entertaining as hell

I still don't have a good 7* breaker.. well at least the better ones Malphaise works for just offense. Though when new awakenings roll around might UoC a Lid to get her. STill 0 Loren's, 0 2b, only 1 of my 10 Christmas rainbows was Kryla lol

I'd say she's more or less tied with the other 2 kind of niche depending on situation. LB break is stronger but only 2 turns and no cool extras and well less dmg. And her CDs are a very strong AoE break… but is random which stat and a fairly strong full break but single target. She gets a cool dispel that only hits buffs for a CD too. Eventually her enhancements will boost her absorbs enough to be solid on demand breaks if you have to dispel or can't LB ever other turn

Kryla's my breaker and/or Beatrix, very satisfied with those options. Kryla is a bit too focused (as opposed to someone like 2B that can do damage) and her imperils are not the hottest but overall I love her

Kryla LB is amazing though even if it doesn't fit her new breaker role as well. Beating people up with gingerbread men is amazing and I wish it was CG

In seriousness though, unlocking Cursed Eye for 3 turns allows her to add a bit (650k) of extra fixed damage per round assuming 13~ status effects are on (4 breaks, 8 imperils, and the Cursed Eye effect). It gives her something extra to do that has some degree of use. Beyond that, the LB power itself is kinda eh. You could make a use case for arena, but in my experience, if it isn't a chaining OTKO, then I don't see the point. Less times I gotta hit repeat, the better.

Now that we won't get full info on Ang and Chow before we have to use our GLEX UOC next week, I'm stumped on who to get.
As a reminder, here are the units to pick from: Aloha Lasswell, Ang, Barbariccia, Beryl, Chow, Christine, Circe, Demon Rain, Dracu Lasswell, Ellesperis, Fryevia, Grim Lord Sakura, Kryla, Lilith, Lucius, Malphasie, Olive, Reberta, Seaside Nichol, White Knight Noel, Yun, Zargarbles.

Being a pseudo dolphiwhale, I've got 7* (or better) lassie, barby, beryl, christine, circe, dracula, ellesper, fry, GLSac, Kyrla, Lil, Luc, Mal, Oliveoil, reberta, zarga. None of them are at 3 (at least none at 3 with a worthwhile STMR).
I don't care for Demon Rain, Yun, or beach nichol.
So that leaves me choosing between Ang #1, Chow #1, or WKNoel 7*. BG help me decide!

Ang pros: probably new top DPS after 7* upgrades, won't use too much gear from other DPS
Ang cons: I have soooooo many meta DPS, and DPS units fall off the cliff HARD soon with akstar and some others.

WKNoel pros: amazing tank, fits a good niche...
WKNoel cons: ... that I don't really need to fill. I've got every other tank at 7*. I don't really need another one?

Chow pro: dog. Really, he's a dog. If I have every meta unit already, why not just pick the cute one?
Chow con: I can pull him on his triple banner instead of wasting the UOC on him (lol).

I'm leaning toward Chow because I just don't see myself using WKNoel or Ang that much, and I may as well have a badass dog on my team.

Also, yes I know, first world problem picking between the 3 units that I don't have at 7* already.
