I'm in a similar situation with Rena. With Sophia, I'd be less concerned. Damage dealers are constantly cycling and once Elle hits, outside of another option for CW chaining, she'll be pretty outclassed.

I have 1 Rena and while I'd like a second one I'm not holding my breath. Pretty sure I'll just use Fina or CKAriana or wait until Folka or something. Think my resources are in hoard mode for Xenogears

Makes me wonder if i should do the step up for rena or not. Also i'm gonna give the bonus stages 1 or 2 more tries and then call it. Already soent 270 stamina on it and my strategy of taking tornado chainers hasn't worked so far, even though thats the only damage i can take that will also be able to beat the bomb stage.

Elly is the next step in powercreep for magic chainers but she is also very limited (she can only chain with a copy using her best abilities and is otherwise locked to wind as a CW chainer which isn't shared with anyone else).
The banners also introduced the select tickets for collab units (5 multis to get one unit of your choice on top of the step-ups) but this may never happen on GL, see VP banners.

Did you have a kunshira? Her alone can cover 7 elements using fenrir's dark and ice claws. The Frozen hurricane materia can also be used as a replacement for ice.

I'm happy about the split unit list. Keeping stat pots and cactaurs separate is going to be nice. Were getting a bunch of new shit tomorrow. I wont have too many mixer points. Judging by how many points were gonna need for stuff I dont see myself getting anything from that list anytime soon.
