I'd be fucking pissed if I was a Lion's fan. A 3rd round pick is a random shot in the dark in reality, and Tate has been super solid. If Golliday is hurt next week, what is their plan? Practice squad guys?

Golliday was a third . But seriously, yeah it sucks but no way Tate was getting paid. He made a huge impact in Detroit as a person and will surely be missed. We've got Jones JR and Golliday that will be the main targets. Theo Riddick can fill in as a slot receiver even though he's smaller. He's an incredible catch and run back. TJ Jones isn't super terrible. I'm sure getting the TE's more involved will happen.

It is decent if you’ve written off this season, which isn’t a huge stretch. The entire defense is injured and Fowler is a good player. Burning through backups as is.

Most of my thoughts on the Tate trade have been covered here. The Lions are a team that could randomly pop off 5 straight losses, but have the people to win 5 straight. That's not a comment about the upcoming schedule, just general talk. There are some headscratchers, like letting Darnold go crazy, but look like they've got it all figured out against the Patriots and Packers. 3-4 is one game back in the division. Even if it's the last year of his contract, that's a tough pill to swallow with the situation at hand.

Due to the short week, C.J. Bethard is questionable to start on Thursday. So Raiders may have a decent shot at win #2, and securing the lowest combined winning % between two teams for the following weeks MNF between the Giants and Niners.

The Jags have too many mouths to feed and are going to lose more defensive players. It was smart to get rid of Fowler because he was a headcase, under performed, and they just can't afford to keep him. What sucks is the franchise spent a #3 overall on the guy.

I saw some more interesting stats, regarding Eli:

7.5 yards per pass attempt (2nd best in his career)
68.3% pass completion (best in his career)
Sacked 31 times (2nd most in career, through only half a season)
Eli has the 4th most pass yards this season of all QBs

From purely a mathematics standpoint, that tells me like 99% of the blame would be on the Oline being historically awful. Given this, why are people saying Eli's career is over? Not disagreeing, but wondering what the Giants' fans believe.

i don’t feel like looking it up, but his yards per attempt could be inflated by YAC. idk what his “air yards per attempt” or whatever people call that stat is, but most things i hear are that he checks down a lot and doesn’t FUCK IT IM GOING DEEP enough

Sacks are never purely on the oline. Eli is a statue so he's never going to escape a sack if the line starts to crumble.

Eli is 28th in QBR, which gives less weight to stats you accrue in garbage time and penalizes you for taking avoidable sacks

That YPA number puts him at 17th

Not disagreeing, but wondering what the Giants' fans believe.

That's it's mostly bloated and padded stats coming from YAC, check-downs, and in garbage time. He's mentally shot. Through no fault of his own in my opinion. He's been banged up so many times and for so long, he no longer can see down the field and is in a perpetual state of paranoia.

He hasn't targeted numerous wide open receivers on so many occasions now. I forgot which game it was this season, but there was a play with either OBJ or Shephard wide the fuck open, and he checks it down when they were 3rd and 20something. Pat Shurmur visibly and audibly lost his mind. Screamed something like "throw the damn ball."
