So beyond the holy wtf at child/old/thorki/....alligator loki?!

I love the character growth Loki has seen in this series. I knew we'd get some but this is above what i had hoped for. I'd love if Loki ends up still being friends with Mobius.
Wtf does it mean that the time keepers were robots? Who was laughing as they broke down?
What doesn't add up to me or at least i can't wrap my head around...so the TVA can blank peoples memories and make them forget their past...why'd they not do that to 20 instead of killing her? (taking them at face value that she's dead and not zapped into whatever dimension Loki is at)

I doubt they'll address it, but the simplest explanation might be that they can erase memories, but they can't create them. So it'd be problematic to have someone around who the entire office knows, but who doesn't have those memories.
