There is zero part of me that thinks Marvel is going to make Wanda the true villain. I'm thinking some malevolent power offered her the chance to get Vision back and she accepted without asking any questions.

If we're looking at this as a way to integrate the Fox properties into the main MCU they'll likely do like they did in the comics and loop this all around to Wanda being under outside influence that made her fuck everything up (in the comics it was Dr Doom, here it looks like probably something Hydra). But this entire storyline so far is more Pleasant Hill then House of M so it doesn't seem like they're make Wanda go full villain

My thoughts after the first four years

Severe PTSD that Hydra is trying to weaponize. When you think about it, what greater weapon can there be then someone who can literally snap entire places not just out of reality, but out of people's memories. They could literally make every avenger disappear, and no one would know the Avengers are missing as the Avengers wouldn't exist.

I'm assuming it's a joke in the vein of the "Did you notice the Twin Pines Mall changed to Lone Pine Mall in BttF" video that was kicking around, but I'll admit "tv format" and "marvel format" got me a little

I mean, there was a deliberate and obvious transition from one to the next as the shape of the image on our screen morphed from TV to widescreen format as we watched it. To me, that was a deliberate signal to the audience that our perspective was changing. I can't remember exactly when - maybe when Monica was found outside of Westview at the end of episode three?

So, two new promos out for this week. I’ll put my thoughts in spoiler tags

By the looks of one of the promos. It looks like Wanda was chilling post Endgame, crying that her brother was dead, her BF was dead, black widow was dead(there was probably a friendship there) and 5 years have gone by(I thought by saying “5 years had gone by” would be clear to mean the blip 5 years time skip but apparently not. I’m talking about the 5 year years that had gone by during the blip. Making whatever friends or life she had completely gone) Her mind broke, powers took over.

I think there a part of her that “awakens” so to speak when someone breaks “character” but for the most part, she’s in the dark about this stuff.

I still want to think that Mephesto is a part of it or someone pulled the first string or is using her to some degree. But ya. Those are my thoughts from the newest trailers and the 5 seconds of new information gathered over a 53 second video.

Yep. Totally not becoming one of those nerds who looks at every still image and over analyzes it.

Exactly, so any notion of a life she had before is completely gone. again thats why I stated 5 years a thing of trauma. That would fuck up a lot of people to know that 5 years have gone by in what you see as an instant.
