if you believe that i dunno what to tell ya
Probably means in its current form.
I assume most of the others will be recast
I mean, Ryan Reynolds has said as much, so...
Deadpool is an easy one to keep continuing with even with retconning everything else considering his 4th-wall fuckery.
But yeah I can find nowhere Disney saying the previous fox films are part of the MCU so they really can bring anyone in and it doesn’t matter timeline wise.
The closest we have is the previously mentioned audio description track which did specifically call him "the version from the X-men films" but as I said then, that isn't absolute, it could just be explaining the joke, not saying it's canonically the actual character. That being said idk where people are getting this "part of the MCU" talk from, like, even if a character crosses over that doesn't make the fox stuff canon in the MCU, it's literally still a separate universe which is kind of the point of a multiverse.
I’m sure Dr Strange 2 is going to answer all these questions. I mean the whole movie is about the multiverse and him doing something. Comics have had favored characters from other universes cross over and join 616 or prime earth for marvel and dc respectively. The “favorites” of the fox movies could very easily be pulled to mcu timeline by strange. I mean this is comics 101
Oh I completely agree that its a possibility but my point is the weird language people are tossing around about them existing in the MCU is confusing, idk if its sloppy wording or fundamental misunderstanding. They literally don't exist in the MCU, thats why its called a (hypothetical) crossover, a character is crossing over from outside the MCU.
I hope they make it clear the MCU isn't 616. The main comics universe is 616, and even that's not true anymore. After Secret Wars the main Marvel continuity is supposed to be universe 0.

Didnt marvel establish the mcu us earth 1999? I didn’t see after the secret wars event what all was changed or destroyed. But yeah most casual that ask me questions only know stuff regarding the movies . Which I don’t mind cause explaining some comic arcs to them to read feels nice when they get all wide eyed. It’s like they all assumed the storylines and plot was only for kids lol. Love recommending Identity Crisis for that haha
Because I'm a huge nerd and canon is that the comics are 616 (or 0) and the movies are 199999.

Bringing this over from the Doctor Strange 2 thread (thanks 6souls). This really opens the door to the "Luke Skywalker-size reveal" in WandaVision. Professor X / Magneto are suddenly more likely now, if true.
I feel like so many of y’all are hyping yourselves up and gonna be disappointed no matter what the outcome is. This happens so often, fans get too hyped then get mad about it. Just enjoy the ride.
Honestly I don't buy any of the fan theories. I just want to watch the show.
Same, fun to engage with and consider possibilities, but setting expectations from them is a recipe for disappointment.
Nah, don't misunderstand. It's fun to theorize thats all. Honestly i'm still of the mind it'll be Doctor Strange at the end, if Pietro wasn't the reveal itself. I just enjoy the "what ifs".
Then boy do I have a show for you coming soon to Disney+
