Everyone that keeps up with the game seems to have moved onto the OF. A lot of people that did play from this forum quit a while back anyway or just went dirty casual. Let's be real though, the main thread that was popping since release was the complaint thread.

For me at least it’s just that FFXIV is a game I know I can leave for months at a time and then be able to catch back up in a week. Unlike FFXI in its heyday when you had to nolife it to make progress.

Hell for most of 4.0’s life cycle I would just come back during the free login periods and catch up on story. Sigmascape, Alphascape, and Ivalice raids did get me to sub a few months because they were really fun. But I’ve been unsubbed for the last couple months. I’m ready to jump back in on SHB though and already got my shit pre-ordered.

I'm super fucking hype. I just can't play like I used to and now my input is pretty worthless. Shit, I'm gonna be too busy with family the first 2 weeks of release to even get on. But hoping to start spamming shit again after that

I'm very much looking forwards to it, and keep up on the thread, but I've gotten "old" and have a very casual approach towards it now. I still enjoy browsing the forums, and I am hopeful that there will be enough stuff to figure out to revive it, it's just that so much of the game is pretty straight forwards, that there isn't that much to talk about unless you go "hardcore".

Same here basically. Although I've been playing consistently since Orbonne was released. Not enough to get burned out but enough to complete some stuff I wanted before SHB. Pretty excited now and can't wait for early access. Doing the story when the expansion hits is always great
