This shit is made for the masses to have a 'turn your brain off and experience some escapism' mindless fun for a few hours. They sprinkle in enough bait to keep the hardcore fans mostly happy, and they've done a good job of keeping the character development stuff simple enough so that it lets the viewers self-impose their own thoughts and feelings onto the characters which makes them like the characters more.

These aren't critiques I should mention. They have taken their marvel formula and script structures and refined them to be better and better with each new movie. Add in talented directors to make it look good and acting talent to make the lines come off the page well and there you go.

But there ain't no denying this shit is mass produced for the masses and to make some hard $$$

Ultimately my point is people shouldn't be getting their panties in a bunch over these movies. Go in, enjoy them for what they are if you like this kinda stuff, and wait for the next one. Dissecting them and going all deep-dive is pointless as fuck

I'm bummed that the local AMC dropped all matinee screenings after the opening weekend. I really wanted to watch this film in an empty theater.

I was very right about Black Widow. And usually am right.

Y'all will let so much fly because it's Marvel but if it didn't have the marvel logo you'd crucify it.

Anyway this movie was cute and campy. It wasn't great and it wasn't bad. Half of Katy's comedy was forced. The sister was unintentionally funny and great.

The middle was painfully slow.

The Dark Dweller never reached telepathically to any of the villians that stepped foot on Earth?
All these "secret" organizations running around and toppling governments, altering the course of history in the MCU and shield and nick fury or any of the other heroes never thought to stop them? None of them crossed paths like it's our turn this week to overthrow this country's government.
Couldn't have taken on Wenwu at any point when all the avengers were on Earth?
The people of Ta Lao didn't think to rebuild or anything after being decimated when the dark dweller showed up thousands of years ago? Not even beef up security when the crazy man they banned from staying in Ta Lao had his wife murdered? The wife he met when he originally tried to break into the secret dimension because he wanted more power?
Shang Chi has a 4k year old father and a mother from another dimension and didn't think for a second she could still be alive?
Wenwu wants to get to Ta Lo and just casually let's his prisoner have a creature from the place he's trying to get to? No experimenting on it or anything.
