Did anyone listen to the audio dramas they released before the game came out? As someone who consumes everything about this series (books, comics, ect) I do like the little background it gives to the main supporting cast and little Easter eggs about prior companions.

Pretty far along now, I will say that the "safeness" of the writing is starting to rear its head more and more. It sounds awkward out of context, but this game definitely needs way more racism. The extreme xenophobia present in the previous games was a driving plot point for a lot of storylines, and there is basically none of that here.

I'm still having a very good time, don't get me wrong. But that video posted above comparing it to a marvel movie is very apt.

You guys are selling me more on DAI than DA4. Were any of the DLC for it worth a damn or am I fine just hitting up this vanilla copy I got from EA however long ago? Only played DAO before it, the PS3 version, quite liked it.

2 is worth playing if you ever get around to it, especially with the bells and whistles and mods on er now. is indeed the worst in a lot of ways but the writing and characterization are arguably series best. easily the funniest, probably the saddest.

Inquisition wise all the DLC is worth it but Jaws and Descent are more gameplay / lore / pretty new environments business. well done but nothing critical and enjoyment depends a lot on how you feel about Inquisition's gameplay. as the others say Trespasser is both great and story critical, some of the devs have come out saying in retrospect it should've been part of the base game as it's so important. prolly the best chunk of all Inquisition.

Ok I really enjoy how commanding companions works in this. It's not quite DA:O obviously but it feels nice how quickly I can command them to do certain abilities and choose the targets on the fly

Also really enjoy helm toggle having a separate option for battle vs conversations.

I'm still early in but I'ma just say it. While I enjoyed Inquisition, the combat in this feels waaaay more fun to me.
