Ahh, thanks. They've both been offscreen the times it's happened, so I wasn't sure what was going on. Probably nearly done with this game, so kind of funny to have something new like that happen.
Sad it took this long but glad the Game Pass rumor panned out, and a week before my bday too.
Will def buy this again for PS5 to run on the big tv/surround sound. Also to support the devs for my goty last year. Hopefully it'll do 4k/60.
Super excited to use cross save and finish up some runs in 4k

glad they're porting it out but deciding to otherwise abandon the project without any DLC or expansions remains a p terrible decision
I don't think Supergiant has released any DLC so far, so that tracks.
oh yeah that ain't about that life it's just a bummer given Hades has the perfect structure to be added onto and is a little scarce in content
I spent >50 hours playing it (none of which were spent doing fetch quests or wandering around a vast 3D world), so it's hard for me to make the argument that it needed DLC to be a full game. This game was in beta for years, IIRC, and they declared it released when they felt it was complete.
However, there is a lot of source material for them to make expansions out of and it was clearly a bad financial decision to not do so. They could have slapped together a Titan-based endgame DLC in 6 months and probably made more profit than their next full game.
Bastion, Transistor, and Hades (lets forget about Pyre) have all been good games though, so I'm glad to play whatever they're going to work on instead of making DLC. I would bet that they moved on from Hades internally before the official release and don't have enough people to work on two projects at once, so they had to choose between doing DLC and working on their next game. My memory is that the Bastion credit roll was very short.
Dug up the Switch after a few months and have been playing this a little over the past few days, kind of messing around with things I hadn't used much.
The Zagreus bow was a bit of a powerhouse that I didn't expect. Maybe that's because I generally run Chiron when using bow, so I'm not even used to worrying about power shots and it's more about putting some sort of effect on enemies rather than the damage. Also, with many weapon types, I like to run damage control 2, so that's a real nuisance with that.
Not sure if anybody here is playing currently (might see an uptick in a month) but kind of curious what sort of things people like to do with sword/spear. Those are the two weapons that I just don't feel that comfortable with overall. I may force myself to use Hades/Guan Yu, but spin attack is something I'd never made much use of, outside of like enemies just about to spawn and such.
For sword, I try and get that hammer ability that recovers HP when you kill with your strong attack. For spear, I have abilities I liked but can't recall now cause it's been so long, but spear is such an easy mode weapon tbh that almost anything works.

For spear of try to get tri-thrust, which is great for clearing out trash as well as chain skewer.

Sword - Nemesis, Arthur
Spear - Achilles and that's about it. Guan Yu has to be the worst hidden aspect
Yeah, that's what I meant. Haven't really had a chance to play with the different spear aspects.

I prefer Aspect of Zagreus for both sword and spear. For sword, the extra speed really helps in staying mobile and not getting hit, for spear, the best builds I've found revolve around the special, so Zag is great.
Ok, now that I spent some time reading the wiki page for some of those weapons, I see one of my points of confusion with the spear. Achilles spear doesn't even get some of the hammers that I do like on that weapon (Chain/Exploding Skewer) so it's always like Extending/Flurry Jab for stupid mode or bust. I thought maybe it was a case of being unlucky or stuff conflicting with my first hammer.
