I think of it like furniture. I would spend much more in a TV stand than I would on that wall mount, plus I gain extra floor space. It doesn't help unless you have a TV that was made in the last five or so years though as that's when TV started getting a lot lighter and thinner.

I wound up buying a 43 inch 4k fire tv for 350 (CAD). I can hook a ps4 controller to it and was able to install moonlight to it. Next up, install Kodi, and order a wall mount.

Shits so cash.

I could have gotten a 1080p tv instead, but it was 330, for 20 bucks extra i might as well get the 4k.

My original plan was to connect it to my media pc and mirror the displays to my living room and bedroom tv. But this works better. Now if only i could find a way to stream my consoles over my network.

TDK is easily the greatest superhero movie ever made and I'd say the only great movie that's a superhero film. yes it's carried by Ledger and his personification of the movie's dialectic but discounting it as 'just' his greatness is very fuckin stange to me, regarding the movie's greatest strength as a weakness.

Winter Soldier was a great political thriller that also just happened to involve superheroes. TDK and WS also touch on the same basic tension between safety/order vs. freedom/chaos, with the antagonists representing extremes of the opposite sites and operating on different scales (one city vs. the world)

Sentiments about Hugh and Patrick's sending their characters off aside, you didn't have issues with the basic plot holes of the movie? Like how getting to Canada can't guarantee the kids' safety from a group obviously operating outside the law? Or how the kids make a plan to meet in a certain sanctuary based off coordinates in a comic book?

Actually I'll go a step further and say the entire Nolan trilogy is dumb for one important reason. Batman was the least enjoyable character in everything except Batman Begins.

Grats on the 4k. I have a 50ft hdmi cable I've been using for that exact same reason. My setup is usually two screens at 1080, but I can turn on my TV and receiver and it turns into 4k mirroring to the TV. I use a ps4 controller to play pc games on my TV and stream hulu easier than going thru the TV apps, but now that I have an xbox I'm undoing all that hassle and using the box for my media. Connecting your pc is fine, but having to always get up to change the media was always a pain.
