Calling to silence an entire political party is pretty radical.
I think there's a political ideology for it, the name escapes me![]()

The majority of the GOP, especially the establishment wing, doesn't give a shit about minorities. They neither care about advancing equality nor do they really want to oppress them. They only do the latter insofar as it's necessary to win (voter suppression), make money (private prisons and military industrial complex), or court crazy voters to vote Republican.

I'll stop calling to silence an entire political party when they stop standing with and defending the ridiculous level of hate a large portion of their base embodies. They can come back to the adult's table when they start acting like adults.
These shitstains are constantly radicalizing our youth at a rate not seen in modern times and everyone lines up to go to bat defending them because muh freedoms. Fucking disgusting.
Not caring about something is vastly different to wanting to kill it lol.
Yikes at the last couple ideas bounced around in here, especially by this angry guy above me.
Silencing of an entire political party and assuming they want to kill their opposition. That's some hefty shit
Also for y'all to be so testy over throwing the Nazi accusation around you sure are quick to label people commies for suggesting maybe shitty people not be allowed to be shitty anymore, lol
Do you even go outside? I meet dozens of people from all walks of life and affiliations every day at work and both sides have overwhelmingly regular decent people.
The radical lunatics from all estimates are a small minority that's just very vocal and publicized because outrage sells.
And what we're saying is that the right wing is both encouraging those lunatics and justifying their behavior. It's not about silencing a party, it's about silencing dangerous rhetoric. If that amounts to silencing one party in particular, then that's just a statement that the party has some serious issues it needs to address.
I go outside plenty, and I'm fully aware how good the American people are at plugging their ears and/or putting their heads in the sand to ignore the atrocities their favorite people commit/represent. Doesn't mean they don't have values or good qualities, but it does make them hypocrites, and that costs them a great deal of respect with me no matter how hard you try to spin it otherwise.
Correct. Who gives a fuck about the party? I would vote Republican tomorrow if they aligned with my policies and values. The fact is that the radical elements are getting support from places so high up that it's nearly impossible not to broadly accuse the entire party, since it's literally people drafting the rules for the party itself lining up with them. Again, they can come back to the table when they sort out their shit.
Spoiler: show

How's this fit into the rhetoric though?
What am I missing? Legit question
