I still don't know whether to go magic or physical on Ramen Noodle.
Magic:
Rydia
Tellah
Physical:
Gladio
Tifa (full)
Bartz
Machina

The full Tifa screams physical. Assuming full means Awakening and Sync, that gives you two cards to play for rage breaking with en-element on entry.
Machina chain? Even more of a reason.
Im looking at:
Machina - Awakening, Ultra, Chain
Tifa - Awakening, Arcane, and BSB
Cinque - Awakening, Arcane, Ultra
Tyro + Healer
For Levi, I am most certainly going magic between Ashe and Shantotto.
Oh good, literally have the same lightning team.
And yes, Machina and Galuf both with chains and Tifa with Awakening and Sync. Full Machina otherwise.
I still need to do Titan. I probably can clear it now with Bartz AASB2 + Tyro Awakening + Cloudkeeper
Edit: yeay! double post!
I don't know how to block the Stormlance on my non-Earthers.
Shadows block it if you have an earth ninja. For me typically Ellara and Kelgar would get hit first -- until Tifa caught up to Kelger in damage -- but having three people always with en-earth made the damage much easier.
Ellara in slot 3 with major resist accessory - the most Stromlance did was 6k.
Kelgar would blink the first one.
Tifa would eat any others and have enough HP to survive, and last stand if healing wasn't quick enough.
So I have that easily, but Tyro and Ellara keep getting pasted and I find last stand is the only way to survive it, which I obviously don't have infinite supplies of.
Hmm, what is Tyro doing to get hit? -- Stormlance should target the two folks doing the most healing/damage. Meaning Ellara will always get hit, unfortunately, but with Major resist it was never an issue for me.
Edit: from what I'm reading it later hits three people, but I think Kelgar blinked those, cause I don't remember him doing any damage to anyone other than Tifa and Ellara.
Ah, I didn't know that.
Stormlance's (as well as Judegment Storm, and Lightning King Thundaja's) damage is reduced by En-earth too, so it helps to have someone with en-earth eat it, since it will do less damage to them -- unfortunately, Ellara and Tyro cant get EnEarth >.<.
For reference; En-Earth stacks reduce it by; 23%, 33% and 50% for 1, 2, and 3 stacks on that character.
...and I want to say the counter-damage is somehow linked to how many stacks the PARTY has, since my phase three counter damage was MUCH less when I entered phase 3 with three folks enearthed. but I have not read anything concrete about this.
LMRs with "Start the battle with EnEarth" are especially helpful for the first lance - but only if you can get him to target the en-earthed characters.
If I use Tyro to wrath and USB4 asap, he usually eats my first stormlance, so I...don't do that. Probably similar thing if others are doing a slow start and Tyro get a SB off with his instant LMR giving him more "hate" before damage gets going.
bah, it figures, I've been silently complaining about the never-ending supply of Fire Crystals I keep getting from Orb meadows... and then Valentine's Day log in campaign drops... ugh... why couldn't it be literally ANY other crystal?!
Lunar Ifrit, Ironfist Fire, Chain Firaja, Inferno Assault, and Blastspell Strike are all Rank 10
I still have 560 fire crystals... RNG is clearly NOT RNG.
I cant get more than 100 wind, dark or non-elemental crystals though... I use them the moment I get them.
oh neat! i didn't really look that closely and just assumed those were all orbs. with that said i'm sitting on ~300 fire crystals, def the highest of any of them at the moment. don't have any of my fire abilities R5'ed yet, but i might have enough to start maxing a few out.
for that matter, i don't think i've R5'ed any 6* abilities except for ACM & curada, which i only really did for the bump on healer AASB chases. of all the ruby abilities i've made though, all are R4, and the only ones i haven't made yet are niche enough that i haven't really felt the need.
I wonder if we all petitioned real hard, if we could get DENA to do the same thing for Saint Patrick's Day but reward Wind Crystals... in the shape of a clover!
Folks on Gamefaqs are reporting Soul-Break honing for AASBs and AOSBs.
Level 10 for AOSBs - lowers cost.
Level 15 for AASBs - allows for two uses in a dungeons.
No word on what levels in-between do - if anything...
Being able to use an Awakening a second time is pretty big for Magicites!
Oh God I'm so happy.
Only took til now but finished my final Torment. FF14 of all things because I hate the 5 turn countdown. Had to buy Papalymo OSB and pop in the 2x Fast Cast 10 magicite/Healing Boon 15 magicite to cross the finish line.
Do they make the scrolls any cheaper? Unless you get a ton of dupes (I actually think my Terra AASB had 3 drops lol) this is going to quickly be a bottleneck for FTP, not that I'm complaining about this amazing upgrade, overall.
On a side note, what would you people recommend between Lightning or Cloud for the AASB choice? I have both of their Syncs, but I have neither of their AOSBs. I was thinking Cloud simply because I don't have his x2 LMR, but sync+aasb gives the double trigger to the sync and not the ability so I don't know how much it would help him. Also, I have Clouds USB1 and USB2, so I'm not really hurting for things to use on him, whereas when Lightning is done with her Sync she is basically done. Full relevant list of things I have for them:
Cloud
Wind trigger fastact LMR
Sword dmg LMR
GSB1
USB1
USB2
Sync
Lightning
Lightning ability x2 LMR
GSB2
BSB (imperil)
USB1
Sync
