    Hokay.

    SPOILERS

    Spoiler: show
So in the last battle, Venom ends up eating Carnage and killing him (lame and a waste, but Sony gonna Sony) Prior to this there was basically a manhunt for Venom and Carnage. After Carnage is dead Venom and Eddie agree that they will need to hide out. So they go to a remote location in some dingy run down room on a beach. Eddie is watching TV and talking to Venom. The symbiote is basically saying "You wouldn't believe the stuff I've seen travelling across the galaxy all these light years away, but your human mind couldn't handle it."

So Eddie retorts and says he can. Eddie kinda blanks out for a second and the screen is vibrating.

All of the sudden it's interrupted by the room shifting and a whooshing sound. Eddie/Venom are in a similar room but it's much more well lit and you hear JJJ talking about Spider-Man. Eddie is looking around, gets up, looks at the TV.

There's JK Simmons and then Tom Holland Spider-Man unmasked. The symbiote looks at the TV and says I think "That guy..." and then licks the TV. A dude walks out of the bathroom and is like "hey buddy you're in my room"

That's it. Venom is now in the MCU. It makes zero sense other than Sony probably asking Marvel to tie it in so they can make more money.

I'm okay with that end scene, but it's probably directed poorly based on your unspoilered post lol. Maybe I'll matinee this; I enjoyed the first one even though I can objectively say it wasn't a great movie lol

    The first movie was AWFUL.

But it was propped up by Tom Hardy so heavily commiting to the role which ended up making it entertaining

Does this imply the Venom movies occur in the same galaxy as the MCU, but on a different planet..?

It seemed as if the Symbiote knew Parker, but obviously that can't be since it was destroyed in SM3. Unless it's got galaxy awareness of all versions of itself which would be the a terrible way to write it in. It just seems it was a different dimension, I think.

But it's weird. Eddie Was writing for the Daily Bugle in this movie (or browsing the website, whatever) so just pick one and go with it.

I'm guessing whatever the spell that is fucked up in No Way Home brings him over. I'm pretty sure it was a similar sound effect.

Fucking horrible. Almost comically bad. A movie so terribly acted it goes into a "good" category of like B movie tier. I had off today, decided to see it at 4PM at the local Alamo Drafthouse.

I went in with zero expectations, and read no reviews beforehand.

Movie was VERY brisk at maybe 90 minutes (including credits) Some of the comedy was good. The jokes mostly landed, but there was more humor than even the first. The design of Carnage was cool as shit. The last battle was actually pretty well done.

But Woody Harrelson? I have no idea what he was going for. Cletus Kasday was completely wasted (not shocked) And the actor that played Shriek was equally terrible.

Carnage was a complete waste at PG-13. Ugh. Maximum Carnage (the comic, not the game) run from the 90's had me more scared of the character than the live action version.

I laughed out loud a few times at the acting. I was actually sitting there in the theater wondering to myself "Is are my expectations of this movie so low that it's so bad it's good" or "Is this movie just terrible?" I think it's a mix of both.

The post credit scene seemed so forced and I'm a bit upset with it. But what are you gonna do.
Saw Carnage's debut scene that Sony released. So weak. You know they screwed it up when the Weapon X scene from X-Men Apocalypse had more blood in....

Agree on the post credits scene.

Ah, I think I misunderstood. I thought you meant Venom brought him across the galaxy to that location and didn't think of No Way Home.

If you thought the first one was an alright, mildly enjoyable movie with a lot of flaws, is this one fine?

For sure. I didn't hate it or anything. I did enjoy a number of things in it. It's a lot more of the same. I'll give credit to TH. He's certainly committed to the role. Even if I hate the stupid accent he does.

The woman venom interrupted at the rave had her song venom go viral on TikTok, Tom Hardy saw it and fought to get that scene added in and get her a Sony check. We love a progressive bi king.

Also Eddie Brock is the bottom in the relationship.

Just saw this, was highly entertaining. Went in basically expecting it to be awful so I was pleasantly surprised.

Not like, a good movie, but if you like these characters you'll like this film.

Movie was entertaining although it has quite a few flaws. Seems to jump around a bit.

Did anyone have a hard time understanding Venom? I mentioned it to my girlfriend thinking it was just my shitty hearing, but she said she had the same issue. Honestly would’ve enjoyed it more if I could understand him better. Definitely missed out on some jokes.

I have to wonder if all the metal I've listened to in my life makes him sound so perfectly clear.

I had trouble understanding all of his speech at the rave, but other than that it was fine.

Yeah a lot of one liners from venom I had a hard time understanding. Asked my wife during the movie too, and she had the same issue. Idk if I need to watch this movie again, but if I do it'll be with subs lol.

I had a hard time hearing some of the symbiote dialogue as well.

Like the first, it was not good but still enjoyable. However, I hate

    Spoiler: show
that the MCU will be tainted with it- but I suppose they're already bringing in the other Sony Spider-Man stuff, so whatever.

It's also interesting that this is technically the first movie to introduce mutants (well, they said "mutate"- close enough), unless they retcon Quicksilver or go so far as to make the existing X-Men movies part of the multiverse (ughhh). Shriek was probably the worst part of the movie- they basically told Naomie Harris "hey you know that character you played in Pirates of the Carribean? We want you to do that, but even dumber."

I don't get the ughhhh to that. They'd have an easier time just saying everything is canon, just off in some other universe.

Finacee and I quite liked it. The dialogue between Venom and Eddie was pretty funny.
