No one's trying to contradict your statistics on abuse. They're entirely irrelevant to the original point you tried to make a page ago. As for me, I used to teach - originally in inclusion - before going back to school for my PhD.



No one's talking about bullying or ostracization. Obviously those happen to gay children because they're gay and that's awful. No shit.

But if you honestly believe there's a significant segment of the population that irrationally, violently hates gays so much that they'd start beating children out of fucking nowhere but are otherwise completely normal, healthy individuals you are out of your god damn mind.

People who beat children are fucked up. Period. There is no salvaging that level of fucked up. No qualifying it. They are predators of the worst kind. This doesn't come out of nowhere. It's not a transformation they undergo after their child comes out of the closet. It's an indelible part of who they are. The only thing that changes when their kid comes out of the closet is how many (or how few) people that kid can now turn to if that fucker goes after them.

No one said the abusers were normal healthy people. This was about victims of abuse not the abusers. And there are plenty of people that thinking being a child will make them straight or even conversion therapy works or praying it away.

I wasn’t talking about the amount of kids. I was talking about how a kid getting beat is emotionally scarred at the same level whether they are gay or straight. No kid is beaten because of a choice.

And I never said I knew what it was like to be gay, that was part of your rant assuming I thought that. You love to do that.

Listen, you are not going to convince me. My mother was a special needs teacher, and I have seen some shit.

One girl who was in middle school was the size of a 6 year old, and had Tourette syndrome, and all kinds of mental deficiencies. Her father locked her up in the closet for years (toddler) and opened the door to feed her crackers and beat the shit out her. Don’t fucking tell me, “yeah but she didn’t have that added gay layer, so it’s not as bad.”

I also won’t go into specifics on my recent students but, shit man. The stuff I know. Kids are not being beaten for being gay. They are beaten for power and that’s the excuse they are given. Every kid is given an excuse, but it has nothing to do with them. It’s the abuser being a fuckface, and they are going to be an abusive fuckface whether the kid is gay or not.

It's all about perspective. We can either put the beating on the kid shoulders and let them believe if they weren't gay they wouldn't be beaten.

Or we can put it on the abuser's shoulders and say they are a fuckface and this is just an excuse for them to justify their fuckfaceness.

I am not going to entertain anything that is putting the blame on the kid, even if that blame wasn't a choice.


I mean, you all know that the mentally handicap also have a high chance of being both physically and sexually abused, right?. Do they get your (general you) special layer sticker, too? Or do we have to look at statistics to see if they deserve a pity card?

There are plenty of people who "think" that beating their child will make them better at sports ("stop being such a pussy") or stop having panic attacks ("man up"). The people who actually go far enough to beat children are just abusers trying to justify their abuse.

It depends why they're beaten. No straight kid is ever beaten for being straight. Now, queer children get made fun of all the time and if one were to catch a beatdown that was just a beatdown there's always the added layer of did I catch that beatdown because I'm gay/queer? So no, they're not the same level of emotional trauma.

Where folks have spent the last two pages trying to explain that yes, in fact, the exact same "added layers" of "did I catch that beatdown because I'm ______?" exist in all victims of abuse. It's not unique to gay victims. That is due in large part to the fact that physical abuse itself does not present itself in particularly unique ways with gay victims. Predators are predators and they will always try to justify the awful shit they do with some bullshit that kids will internalize as part of their trauma.

Qualify what you mean by "significant population", because there are absolutely groups of people who love their children and have no problem with them...until they come out and suddenly they take their kids to pound town.

It's literally the only point Ksandra was trying to make. Literally the entirety of this discussion. Being gay and getting abused isn't somehow inherently worse than anyone else getting abused.

It's like you're arguing about the headline while intentionally ignoring the article.

Investigators hired by the diocese that oversees Kentucky's Covington Catholic High School have determined that the students didn't initiate conflict with the native americans or the black hebrews. Also, despite Ksan's insistence, they did find that were multiple kids that did the tomahawk chop to the beat of the drum.

"Our students were placed in a situation that was at once bizarre and even threatening," Diocese of Covington Bishop Roger Foys said in a letter to parents this week. "Their reaction to the situation was, given the circumstances, expected and one might even say laudatory."

The firm hired by the diocese, Greater Cincinnati Investigation, concluded that students made no "offensive or racist statements" to either Phillips or a group of Black Hebrew Israelites and that they didn't perform a "Build the Wall" chant. Investigators said they came to these conclusions after interviewing over 40 students and more than a dozen faculty and parent chaperones, as well as reviewing footage from all major news networks as well as YouTube and Vimeo.

Investigators said they tried to interview Phillips at his residence in Ypsilanti, Mich., but over the course of six hours, he never appeared and he has not responded to their request for an interview. "Phillips' public interviews contain some inconsistencies, and we have not been able to resolve them or verify his comments due to our inability to contact him," they said in the report.

Investigators found that the kids did perform a "tomahawk chop" to the beat of Phillips' drum and "joined in" with his chanting but said that they could find "no evidence of offensive or racist statements by students to Mr. Phillips or members of his group."
