I'm well aware of all the blood each nation has on their hands. The original point I was challenging in the statement that started all this was you said America was the cause for all the current stability in the world and I stated that after WW2 America being destabilizing governments and countries that didn't fit their needs and putting in prop governments which has lead us to the current climate around the world. While still keeping up with their proxy wars around the world. America is ~slightly~ better than current Russia and China but that shouldn't be the case which is my problem that so many people are willing to simply say well look at xxx place and how bad they have it be happy you live in America and to shut up.

Because we're a first world liberal democracy. There are inherent structural advantages to that. There are no other first world liberal democracies poised to assume the U.S.'s position in the world. The next in line for primacy are Russia and China.
