Yeah, from what I understood the story from current games is canon in the show's universe, but the show won't be canon to the games, as that would kinda screw capcom with where they can go with the story in future titles.

I finished the show but I think you didn't get my complaint - my point is, in ep1 she was logging to his work account which still had access to sensitive info (e.g. the Tijuana report and whatever else, him being high up the Umbrella chain) and it was protected by his everyday password he uses for Netflix or stuff? Seems like a horrible security oversight for the genius he's supposed to be.

Granted, I don't think anything similarly dumb happened later on. Overall it was a decent watch and you can't help but get a little excited when you see the name on the paper at the end

The show is... not good lol. But it wasn't terrible either. Just perfectly fine trash television with some fun easter eggs. I definitely pointed at the tv when they started playing the moonlight sonata. Laughed when they mentioned OG Wesker dying in a volcano. Name on the paper is a good set up for season 2.

But mainly, Everything they hinted to about The Raccoon City incident seemed vastly more interesting than anything we got lol. Its like, oh do you guys like the resident evil games? Well here's something almost completely unrelated!

There are still producers determined to make sure video game live media remains as bad as possible despite having enough source material to make something dope.

Off topic, but if you want video game media done right then go check out the live action Phoenix Wright movie. It had no business being as good as it was for a movie adaptation of the first game pretty much.

Much more the second. Small good parts trapped inside hours of bad. It's modeled after CW shows, complete with overwhelming levels of relationship drama, and 'X years ago' flashbacks.
