And we will absolutely never see her again and learn about her ever again.
Come on guys, you know how the biggest budget TV show in the world works by now
Tbf I think that's still the extent of the character in the comics as well, though I could very likely be wrong since some of their solo stuff has been insufferably awful.
Not too concerned they didn't delve into her background too deeply in the movie when the movies are just a chapter of a larger book. The way she took control at the end was still some badly telegraphed bullshit though.
She was the Macguffin. She didn’t need a background. She was the Ark of the Covenant and Wanda was the nazis.
At this point Marvel is just phoning it in and it's progressively getting worse overall but there are certain sects that will defend them no matter what it's funny to watch i.e. how hard some of y'all were in capping in the black Widow thread.
Black Widow was meh to okay but it’s greatest crime was being wholly unnecessary to the overall plot, existing solely because Scarlett Johannson wanted (demanded?) a solo Black Widow movie.
I mean y'all keep going to see everything they put out and not being critical of it shows it doesn't matter the quality of the product they put out they'll still make their money back if they slap marvel on it.
Personally, some of the perceived lower quality is a symptom of what I am sure is just Disney wanted to clear out backlogged stuff from during the pandemic. We just happen to be getting all of it in a shorter term than originally planned out so its average-ness is noticeably more potent.
Holding opinion until after Quantumania, because it seems like that seems to be a set-up and baseline for what phase 4 is supposed to be.
