S4 already starting to ramp up. They are saying it will hit in '26.

New episode was good, mostly. Didn’t enjoy the credit scene because like…

I wouldn't be worried about it, the storyline coming out of it is one of the best in the series.

Tbh with how much I hate that gimmick it’s going to be a tough sell, I’ll still watch it and give it a fair shake though since I love the show.

Aaron Paul is one good actor

and ya that trope mostly sucks but it was less played when Kirkman wrote it 16 years ago, and he did it damn well. imagine it'll work here as well despite the oversaturation.

I haven't watched the⁰q episode, but I'm making the assumption of which story we're talking about. I don't think anyone's really done it like the comics and, presumably, the show are about to do it. I wonder how many episodes they're going to spend on the arc. This show tends to uno-reverse the anime method of seaon-long arcs.

COMIC SPOILER, FUTURE STORYLINE, WILL SPOIL SHOW IF YOU HAVENT READ COMICS

    Spoiler: show
The brutality, destruction, despair, and hopelessness in the multi-mark storyline is still quite unique. Marvel can't really market multiple Ironmans going through cities and just murdering people in the streets and torturing everyone to tear apart the protagonist. It's way too fucking dark.

Also, most every change the show has made has been for the better. If they tweak it a bit, I have complete faith this storyline will play out in such a manor it deserves, because as AG said, it was done really fucking well even by today's oversaturated standards. I just hope the magnitude of it isn't lessened by competing stories. It's a busy season of building up some banger story climaxes.

Pretty okay episode. I thought the villain would see the error of his ways at the end but no, he just further entrenched himself in hate. Poor guy.

    Nah fuck that.

    Spoiler: show
The baby dying by being in harms way was something I was hoping didn’t happen.

Fuck Powerplex and his wife. I was hoping Mark realized he can’t save everyone and just fucking dumped his ass in space. Try absorbing that shit you fucking casual.

As far as the multiverse shenanigans, I’ll give this show the benefit of the doubt. But I’d be lying if I said I didn’t roll my eyes at that credit scene.

yeh Powerplex has a sympathetic backstory because he's so broken by pain but probably the best thing anyone could do for him or others at this point is put him down. but Mark ain't that guy.

See I was going to say something like this, that It drives me crazy Mark doesn't grasp that some people have just fucking gone insane and its not his fault. But hes always like "Maybe I'm the real bad guy and not this guy who nuked his kid and wife", and like, NO DOG HES A FUCKING NUTJOB. Any legitimate complaints he had went out the window for me the second I realized he worked in the Pentagon and had access to /everything/ on Mark and would have known Omniman was the villain here and Mark was fighting to save those people

As I mentioned briefly above, I could understand his frustration and grief. But at the same time, he was blaming the wrong guy from the word go. He works at the pentagon, he has all the evidence, he knows Mark was trying to save people and was getting his ass beat by Omniman, the real villain, and yet still chose to blame everything on Mark and try to kill Mark because of it.

This is kinda spoilery but a continuation
    Spoiler: show
Like I couldn't even give him the moniker "sympathetic villain", because the man had all the evidence and just chose to go evil on someone who was also very much a victim of that incident, and well, we see how that turned out and did he learn anything about who became the real monster? Nope, just doubled down on his derangement after the very epitome of "Going to far" hurt the only people he had left. His wife was a fucking nut too and constantly nudged him into doing more and more extreme things to get Invincible's attention.

Only person in that family I felt sorry for was the kid.

Overall, not the best villain of the show. Some added depth and motivation, it just didn't land for me.

well, I thought that would have lasted longer. I’m glad it didn’t stretch things out too long, but I feel like some things should have been.

That's pretty much exactly how they did it in the comics too. The entire Invincible War was only one issue

Oh hey that was mercifully short, knowing nothing about it I expected him to be the big bad of this season... again. Good to know.

    Spoiler: show
So it being just a one episode thing I think made it better, it didn't overstay its welcome... though to be honest I really hope thats the last we see of any alternate reality Invincibles forever, and Brain man for at least a long time.

Episode wise, Mark keeps getting beat down with crazy people doing crazy shit just to get him and this one was definitely the biggest one of them all, feels like its coming to a head now, I hope the character growth happens in the finale or at least it not being a huge part of Season 4 but I imagine that feeling of his guilt isn't going away anytime soon.

Wish the seasons were longer... 10 Episodes would be nice... but if not longer than I wish they'd come out a little more frequently. I guess 2 years isn't really that bad to be honest, Its just sad to see one more episode left before the next hiatus =(

So this is about what may come next season, so a question for people with comic knowledge I guess.

    Spoiler: show
so I’ve seen a thing that said Kirkman wanted to have an arc where Invincible went to hell, but that he just hadn’t had the time to put it in. I didn’t get very far in the comic, so I’m only going by a Reddit comment I saw. Was that true and does that mean the show is about to expand on that premise? I suppose it also could be a big red herring since they never say who it is this “strongest person in ages” is and it’s someone else entirely.

That's effectively what I got from ScreenCrush's Ending Explained video
