    Spoiler: show
He didn't go to Hell, but they can do whatever they want in the show. He doesn't have to go to Hell though cause plenty of bad shit is in the pipeline to come at him. Conquest, and Eve's powerup, was the start of the comic starting to run away with the plot and start doing big changes in-universe. There isn't a lot of happiness in Mark's life for awhile iirc

They've shuffled things around but the events of these last two episodes was roughly the halfway point of the comics.

    Invincible - Animated Series - March 2[emoji239], 2021

Bah! Hope we don’t have to wait long for the next season. This last episode was great and felt like we’re finally starting to go beyond the tip of the iceberg.

I feel like we'll probably get an extended special before the next season like the Atom Eve one to detail what Allen and Nolan have been up to since they've largely ignored that plotline this season and have a lot of catching up to do on it.

They STILL haven't introduced the primary antagonist of the story. For general pacing purposes feels like they need to get to that very quickly in season 4

Edit : actually looking over it I guess Allen/Nolan is literally the next issues in the comic. Also kinda interesting looking how Episodes 6 and 7 were only single issues in the comic, while the season finale was spread out over 5

Kirkman has said he wants (at least) 7 seasons to adapt everything (and apparently add some diablo noise) and they're aiming to release every year after Covid ruined the production schedule early

    7 seasons would make sense

    (storyline titles in spoilers)

    Spoiler: show
Assuming that Viltrimite War and End of All Things dominate their respective seasons, that gives 2* seasons to cover Dinosaurus/Flaxans/"Reboot" and all the rest

    A+ no notes.

I haven't read the comics and my jaw dropped when
    Spoiler: show
Eve died. Also Oliver being tortured, but mostly the eve part. I really thought Allen and Nolan were going to arrive to stop. Conquest. Shocked that Mark was able to kill him

My only gripe? Gripe too strong a word probably, I'm not excited for more Mars hive mind parasite,

I feel you, but also remember how quick the invincible war was. Lots of big scenes but they don't drag out for seasons like one punch man or something

Liked the show but its crazy to me Mark doesn't kill but doesn't believe in rehabilitation of criminals? I could probably chalk it up to him being a dumb teenager but that argument was just dumb.

He goes through a lot of changes over the entire story. He is convinced to change his ways multiple times tbh, it's part of what makes his character so good. Soooo much happens to him that he changes his views in what is and isn't good or superhero behavior.

Mark really brought the season down for me, hard. Wouldn't call it bad, but all the internal drama because of Mark just going "muh morals" while being seemlingly oblivious to the stakes at hand just completely removed any semblance of likeability, kind of felt like he was being possessed by the spirit of season 1 Amber.

    Spoiler: show
Further confounded by the fact that I wasn't a fan of the multiverse guy last season, but of all villains, he's the one they fail to kill.

Greatest disappointment was the final episode by a long shot, however. May have been willing to forgive the sudden reveal of ultimate powers only triggered when in a state of great emotional distress or Mark's super strength when angry, but I mainly really just enjoyed seeing Conquest cave everyone's skulls in, mostly because I disliked half of the protagonists that much. Conquest should have won, he vastly outclassed everyone else, but alas, no plot armor for him. Kind of hoping for a time skip so Mark can stop being a whiny twenty-year-old paragon of virtue. Then again, they did lie about Conquest being dead, so I am expecting more drama.

It's just odd that Cecil's the more moral option yet it's treated like some worse evil that splits the main heroes. Even messes with other threads in the show since Nolan isn't presented to the viewer like an irredeemable monster and his own crimes are worse then any of the other villain's Mark's got a problem working with.

Though speaking of villains this season saw a personal bugbear of mine start to get really irritating. It really doesn't make sense to have reoccurring bag guys just keep showing up - like that guy Killcannon was getting locked up when Eve was in grade school but he's still causing problems every other week? I mean The Maulers worked - it was always shown how they escaped and it was always with help from someone in the inside/other dimension but how is fucking Elephant Man making free to terrorize fast food chains? And for that matter what happened to the bunker the Maulers were in? Now they're just taking people with super powers, throwing them in a concrete building and hoping for the best? And they aren't even wearing magic super-power-turn-off collars when they get walked in?

Ah yes the sudden reveal of the nature and limitations of Eve's powers... from three years ago.

It'll take the show many many years, but the comic addresses your sentiments and then some. Don't worry, people wouldn't speak so highly of the story if your grievances weren't touched on.

If it's something about creating superheroes though constant attacks/adversity I'm probably going to be annoyed.

Oh for sure. I don't think its a coincidence after that he starts working for a prison and becomes part of the prison industrial complex. They didn't go that far, like he isnt lobbying to more people in prison but my mind went there.

Like I said, he's a dumb teenager so he has time to reconcile his conflicting morals.
