I already read a while back that Robot ends up being a baddie and they just explained the "700 year" thing and he's been acting shady. I figured whatever it was would be happening soon so it didn't spoil much.

One of the best arcs in the series. Top down amazing. The pay off is so worth it to get to this part.

Absolutely. If you haven't read compendium one yet you can get that basically free via the comixology unlimited sub. The free volumes (4 issues each) end just barely after the end of the first compendium.

I’m on issue 110 ish out of 144 now and if you decide not to read the comics be aware there so far is content for at least 5 more seasons so far, probably more. So you’d be waiting a while to see what this is all about.

Used comixology which is... free if you have Amazon prime? Or I’m on a free trial. Wasn’t really clear.
Anyway, I just want to be sure, but I’m assuming the tv show added in a lot of details into the character side of things? Comic just blows through a lot of this stuff in the beginning and I just want to make sure I’m not reading some abridged version or whatever.

Nah the show does things out of order so you're getting a lot of development that happens later in the comics. Some things also feel a lot bigger or more important in the show, but again that's just pacing and you not knowing what you don't know.

Don't worry, the comic is just as good if not better than the show. Just relax and let it happen lol

I used comixology for like the first 50 ish issues after which it seemed like I had gone through all the ones available in the unlimited subscription. Fine by me as it basically made the first compendium free and I loved it so much that I had zero issue paying for the other two even if it was just a case of me not noticing if the rest of the series was there for free and I just didn’t see it.

I’m up to the first Mars visit. Glad the show made the changes they did. Gives all the characters a lot more depth.

Yeah they flipped the order of events a lot big the big moments from season one all played out the same. I like it so far as it’s like a different take but still the same overall story as the comic.
