8 has one of the best combat systems imo. Mobs that level with you, junction and gf system as an original stat system, limits were pretty cool as well.

Games plot gets in its own way a bit, but overall I enjoy the package. I still haven't beat 9, but that one puts me to sleep. I might give it an honest run in th future when I have kids who want to watch daddy play games cause that might be the only way I slog through it.

Every time I've played it I've found that right after the big Garden vs. Garden battle with the CG motorcycle sequence of the attack on Balamb, it goes waaaay downhill, but if you can muscle through like a 5-10 hour stretch of game it picks up again.

Game was fine in many regards except plot. That shit was light in it and it showed. Making an entire universe of media outside the game and afterwards does not excuse what they left in the stand alone release.

story wise, i agree. x-2's gameplay was tits though, the story was super ass. i liekd 13's gameplay as well, which is the only reason why i finished it
