Is the reason you all hold the game in such high regards and are unable to see it's flaws because you spent so much time playing it during your formative years and it's created such a huge part of your personality that admitting the game was bad would also cause you to start to question your lack of an identity and how boring you actually are?

No. The game was simple as fuck and for the amount of time you had to put into for the majority of items did not excuse it's simplicity. It was a poor game. Near the end I just used spellcaster and botted all my macros for events.

Yet you still had fuckwits TPing in STR rings flailing Fafnir.

The XI population was not special, it was fairly representative of the general population -- 80% of people were trash.
