I was never a fan of his impulsive and short-tempered behavior, but god damn did S5 drive home the point that because of him and Walt so many innocent lives were destroyed. And it’s all eaten away at him and left him a broken man.

The scene where he’s daydreaming about building the wooden box he mentioned in his sessions. The pettiness of Walt telling him he watched Jane die. The final scene where Jack and Todd bring him to Walt and he can’t even look Walt in the eye initially. Spectacular television right there.

I can go on and on but I really loved this show. Yeah season 3-4 were the best, but not because season 5 was subpar. Those seasons were the culmination of the slow burn between Walt vs Gus. Season 5 was about the aftermath and the devastation it’s left behind with Walt’s complete transformation into Heisenberg.

Very popular opinion, Breaking Bad was an amazing fucking show. Just finished it and god damn was it such a great palate cleanser from the dog shit that was GoT.

lawlz yuh that's why I started watching Rectify. one of the eps left such a bad taste in my mouth I immediately Googled best TV shows and fired away at the first thing I hadn't seen.

EXACTLY! Jesse only wanted to play hard and have enough money to live. He never wanted this life and the dude could not get out of it to save his life! When he tries to leave, Walt cockblocks him. When he stays, Walt shits on him. When Walt has the chance to leave and for Jesse to take up whatever he's doing, Walt cockblocks that too.
Jesse is also a super emotional dude and every single thing he ever did that hurt anyone legit ate away at him. It does not absolve him of his shit, but DAMN!
Also Hank straight going from bumbling asshat to SOLID police work over the series. ASAC FUCKING SCHRADER!

For me, probably the biggest scene is when Skyler was yelling at him, telling him not to dare tell her again that he was doing this for them, and at that moment, Walt was finally able to admit what he knew all along. He was doing it for himself because he finally found something that made him feel alive, after all that time trying to avoid what he knew

I think the most memorable scene for me, and there are PLENTY to choose from, was the closing shot of season 4 showing the Lily of the Valley flower plant in his backyard.

It was exceptionally powerful. It signified Walt no longer had any line he wouldn’t cross and his transformation into Heisenberg was complete.

guilt-ridden self-hating Jesse is heartbreaking. his i have nothing hospital bed monologue + you're nothing to me but customers NA monologue are highlights of the show.

I've always defended her character. As far as I'm concerned the only fuck up on her part was disclosing Walt's cancer to anyone. IE the party she had.

Yeah, under the impression that she was saving several jobs and Ted would actually keep his word and get shit right, instead of buying a new car.

People really hated the fuck out of her character because she wasn't meek to Walt's bullshit, then hated her even more when she joined his bullshit out of fear.
